Oh my gosh, how scary. I don't think you are overreacting at all. You have gotten good advice in here, so I will just offer lots of hugs and positive thoughts!
T&P your way. DS2 got so many different respiratory things in his first 18 months and was hospitalized twice for them. It's scary stuff for sure. Definitely see about keeping your older one away from your LO while he's recuperating.

How scary! I would divide up the care on the two kiddos with DH and keep them as separated as possible. Perhaps baby stays upstairs and older bro stays downstairs or something like that. If you go between the two use hand sanitizer and wash hands like crazy. Also, I use lysol spray on hard surfaces or clorox diluted with water and spray down hard surfaces and toys daily.
Scary! I hope he feels better soon and try to lean on family/friends for help and to limit exposure to your baby. This must be so hard. Sorry you are dealing with it.
So scary! I don't think you're overreacting. I would send the baby somewhere else, if you can. I think you're close - please let me know if I can do anything at all to help!

I'm so sorry! That is very, very scary. I hope he turns a corner ASAP and that your newborn doesn't get it. I agree with others to really isolate the preemie!

You can do it. When I brought DS home, my Dd who was three, came home the same day after being admitted to the hospital for croup. It was insane but lots of hand washing and breastmilk and separation and we managed to keep the illness contained.
I showered twice daily and kept a bottle of hand sanitizer next to the nursing chair. Hugs. It wasn't fun. Dh basically took care of DD from the minute he came home.
