Last night was not fun. I think the enterovirus has hit our house. Jack is hanging out in the ER with H waiting to be admitted to a real room because he can't stop wheezing and needs frequent Nebs.
I'm in a room at the pedi because Henry is going down the same road. Three Nebs and she still thinks he needs to be admitted as well. Poor kid couldn't even say a three word sentence he was so out if breath. And was lying on the ground randomly while playing cars this morning from exhaustion.
Fevers, cough, runny nose, wheezing, malaise. Not a fun start to the weekend
PSA. Wash your hands. Wash your hands wash your hands. This virus is brutal.
I'm lurking/catching up on threads while I wait so I apologize if I comment on a million old posts
Update- thanks for all the thoughts and well wishes! Both boys were admitted yesterday and we have been trying to space out their neb treatments. We have gotten Henry to almost every 4 hours but Jack is still getting Nebs every two. The have more energy today though and seem to be feeling a lot better. The steroids and frequent Nebs seem to be helping. H and I are exhausted and being confined to a hospital room with these two sucks but hopefully Henry can go home tonight or tomorrow and Jack tomorrow or Tuesday.
Update #2 Both boys are home. I'm now in steroid/albuterol crabbiness hell Thanks for all the thoughts and encouraging words! I'm guessing an asthma diagnosis isn't too far away for my little guys. Ugh. They will also be out of preschool until at least Friday. They should have just started going in October since they have yet to make it in to a full week of school!
