We have only a couple of days left. So we thought we would weigh ourselves today. DH lost 18 pounds, and he was not overweight. I lost 11 pounds! Wow! Why would I ever go back to my old habits?
The book that explains the science and reasoning behind W30 is It Starts With Food, in case you're interested. Also, I mod the Whole30 board, so come ask questions if you'd like

Great job!! I'm so impressed that you and the many others that are doing it can stick to it. I did 1/2 of a whole foods detox (similar, but could have legumes) and couldn't make it the full 10 days because the reduction in carbs totally killed me (I love bread and pasta). Way to go!!
I know! It's crazy! No counting calories, eat when you are hungry, stop when you are full. No sugar, grains or legumes. Sugar is in everything! I think that is what helped the most. Eliminating the sugar intake every day. And honestly, I really don't miss it.

Ok, so I am kiiiiiind of considering doing a Whole30 when I'm back from England (just got here, back mid-Oct). If I get more serious about it, I'll ask on the Whole30 board as well, but since this is here, how did you feel in terms of any effect on H&F stuff? I know you're not full speed right now, but did you feel like this had either a positive or negative effect on the activities you are doing these days?

Yep, I didn't do whole 30 precisely but cut out sugar back in February. The weight just fell off. It was amazing.

It can be pretty challenging when you're an athlete, but it can be done.
