I'm sitting at POV which is the restaurant overlooking the White House, having wine and a salad. I jogged around the Washington monument today. So fun!
I also met a super cute marine on the plane. We've been texting ever since. He lives in ca close to me. I told him he should meet up for a drink. He's out with friends. We'll see what happens!
An article I wrote for a professional women's website on startup schools got picked up by a bigger website. It's getting shared all over the Internet. I'm geeking out hardcore. So cool to see your article have hundreds of likes when it pops up on your FB feed! Squeee!
achase123, are you in DC for business or pleasure? We went in July and it was 97 degrees and soooo humid. When you said jog around Washington monument, I thought how I was gasping for water WALKING around there! Lol. Have fun!
I had the best day/weekend with my little sister. She def makes me more willing to check myself irl, since I am such an anxious overhthinker. We went wine tasting at a place i picked in brooklyn, then I kinda started worrying about getting her to the train "on time". She basically told me to be BREEZY, so we had a few beers at another place before we came back and i put her in a cab (that i paid for) to grand central. So.much.fun.
And my 22 yo sister is more "experienced" than I am (at 33), and she basically told me to do whatever feels real (that's our brother's go-to advice, lol). Sooo...I need to message some okc dudes right now. hahaha
I did some major grocery shopping at a store that just opened. It was huge and nice and they have everything under the sun. The prices were also pretty good. I think this may be my new go to because the others around here suck. (besides trader joes--and it's always chaotic there) I napped for almost 3 hours. I was having anxiety along with a headache, so sleep + some meds were the only remedy. I so don't feel like going to work tomorrow.
Now I have a shepherds pie in the oven. I made it once before a long time ago. This time I took 2 different recipes and meshed them...it's looking great so far!

I didn't get anything done this weekend that I wanted to. And I'm ok with that. I did get a few loads of laundry done and vacuumed today so I did accomplish a few things.
I also realize that I really need to replace the main floor carpet. I'm thinking of doing pergo floors and adding area rugs or carpet remnants instead of wall to wall carpeting.
@blueyes623 - was it a chain? I took my sister into fairway in red hook after our wine tasting, and i love that place. TJ's is a hot mess though, everywhere. Grocery stores are super important to me, lol.
I had a lovely weekend. Did the Race for the Cure with S and J and S and I wore tutus. Went on my lovely date with B, and then today I got a mani/pedi and brow wax, went grocery shopping, came home and made a crockpot meal, watched Netflix and napped on the couch. I haven't had such a relaxing and positive weekend in a while.

Working on a presentation for tomorrow. Going to eat and relax. I'm super tired. I'll do more work in the morning. I love school SO much now that I'm doing my specialization post-graduate.

I've never been to the fairway, but people rave about it. It's too out of the way for me, the only place I've ventured down there is ikea. I was at the new shoprite on erskine. I can't wait for the Nordstrom rack to open there!

Business! It was 80 today. Still humid and I was sweating like a pig when I was jogging but it was fine! I didn't have a ton of time so it was a great way to see a few things.

I had a nice relaxing weekend. All of my plans fell through so I just hung around the house and relaxed. I think this is the first weekend that I have been totally okay being alone with no plans. It was nice.
I'm excited for this week. Second date on Tuesday night then vacation Thursday - Saturday. Yay!
