I'm glad drop off went well! Mel did good for a few days, then cried for 2 weeks each time we headed there. The teachers know what to do. Once I stopped trying to calm her and handed her to a teacher, she relaxed much quicker and was even playing by the time we left. We're now well past the crying and she hardly has time to kiss us goodbye before she goes running in!
She is also a cuddle monster and that hasn't changed at all. Big hugs!! It'll get easier. I never thought it would since I was with her 24/7 for almost her whole life, but it did.
Yea! I'm glad drop off was less emotional than you expected - the best possible scenerio I hope drop-off goes that well all week for the two of you.
I was nervous the first time I had a non-family babysitter watch L when I went out to dinner, but as I walked out the door all he said was "bye mama" and just kept on playing-lol.
He had a great first day! The teacher said he called for me at naptime, but she patted his back and it only lasted a couple of minutes. When I got there, he was standing at the corner of the fence, looking out where the big kid area is, looking for "Sissy Abby."
The teacher also commented that he seems very verbal for his age, which has only happened in the last few weeks.

Kat, I thought I replied to this this morning but I didn't, I'm so sorry!! I am glad the first day went so well, that's so reassuring. I hope he continues to love it and thrive there. I'm proud of you both!

Thanks! I'm hoping he does okay when he realizes we're doing it every day.
