Dude, I have seen entirely too many people bitching that someone else is more qualified, people only care because it's the Harry Potter chick as if Hermione Granger is the first UN Goodwill Ambassador. It's making me punchy.

I could only watch the first 4 min, something sucks on the internet streaming today. I'll watch later, but I saw it posted several times in my FB feed, and I'm always glad to see a new voice and generation ready to approach social justice and equality issues.

I like that, too.  But I still despair about getting people to listen to the real definition and not just see feminists as man-haters.  Heck, even H (who knows better than to get into it with me) still feels a negative connotation about the word despite fully supporting equality for women.

I don't see why it's any weirder for Emma Watson to talk about feminism than for Bono to campaign for Africa.  Entertainment stars get involved in all sorts of causes.

From the website it looks like it's just asking that men make a personal commitment. Nothing more, at the moment.  I was hoping it would be something more actionable.

I love her so much. I love how she phrased this. If women don't have the benefits of equality, neither do men.

I will also say, if my nephews are a decent litmus test, it really seems to be speaking to that generation of young men. 4chan trolls aside.
