He was napping and I heard him start to make noises so I checked the monitor. I saw him seizing and rushed in there. It was such a frightening sight...he was seizing, had turned blue, was foaming at the mouth, and choking.
I was home alone so as soon as I made sure his heart was still beating I call 911. Our first responders were firemen and they were here within 2 minutes; it was crazy. H was just 5 minutes away so he was there soon after.
The seizure probably only lasted 2 minutes, but he was unresponsive and lethargic, not focusing or aware of his surroundings for some time. They took him by ambulance to our children's hospital. We hung out there for a couple of hours for monitoring and then were released.
I'm so so thankful that it was a febrile seizure (he had gone down for nap with a 101 fever and ibuprofen) and not indicative of something more serious. But oh my, I never want to see that sight again.
H got them as a child so apparently Graham has inherited that tendency.
