I was induced at 39w5d because my blood pressure was getting high. It's a little high this time but better. My doctor is on call this weekend and she said we could talk induction for then if I am dilated at my appointment on Wednesday. Last week I wasn't dialated

I'm wearing one of DH's workout shirts at the gym today because none of mine can contain my bump anymore.
I'm in serious nesting mode right now. I cleaned the whole nursery yesterday and am currently plotting how to fit in cleaning/sanitizing all the bottles and pump parts today and maybe setting up the Pack n Play in our room also.
Oh so funny MMM related story: we were totally out of diapers save the ones left in our diaper bag so we had to hit up BJs yesterday. B was cranky from not getting a (second) nap so we just grabbed them and one other thing and got on line, only to realize that we lost our $4 coupon. I checked with Customer Service and they were out of coupon books and I was SO annoyed. DH thought I lost it and I knew he had lost it (he later found it in his pocket). Anyway long story short: I flagged down an old man holding a coupon book and made him give me his Pamper's coupon.
I just spent the first hour our nanny was here making lunch, washing dishes and doing laundry instead of working. And now I am GBCNing. The perils of working from home! That income poll should motivate my arse to do more instead of less while I am paying someone to watch my child, but there's so much crap that's hard to do with a baby around and then a 6-year-old in my face from 4 pm on every day.
Happy due date, zarapipe! I got a pedicure on my due date. It lasted about 5 weeks, too.

I'm working on painting Nod's room today. My mom came over this morning to play with her and Ace so I could actually get started. I think it will look nice, but I don't love the color it's a little bit darker than what I had hoped for.

I have a halloween costume question, can I stick it here?
DH's office is doing a dress up thing and he wants me to bring DD so the two of them can do a joint costume (adorable). So we've been tossing around ideas like cow (him) and cowgirl (her), cookie monster (him) and cookie (her), lion (him) and lion tamer (her), and gorilla (him) and banana (her). We both love the last one especially as DD's nickname is Banana. But is dressing up in a gorilla suit…like….offensive or insensitive? He is in a leadership position at his company so should be extra careful about stuff like that. WDYT?
I've had the most productive day today. So far I've made homemade mayo, hamburger buns, chicken stock, chicken noodle soup, and banana bread. My house is mostly clean, laundry is done, and kid is in bed. I don't know what's come over me, lol.

I took a bit of a boards break because I was totally slammed at work and needed to stop wasting time. I think it's time to come back. In the meantime we found out that LO#2 is a boy - so countthestars, your prediction was right! I have spent far too much money on little boy things in the past few weeks.

Yesterday was DS2's birthday party and it was great but my house is a MESS and my baby will not nap today lol. He's currently fighting the good fight in his crib because naps aren't optional at one year.
One of my best friends and godmother to DS2 is a former work friend from when I lived across the country. Anyway, our office had a group of us all around the same age, including our boss, and we were all pretty good friends outside of the office. Long complicated story short, my old boss and I had a bit of a falling out after I transferred back to home office when I married DH and then was subsequently laid off while I was pregnant with my oldest. She then also transferred back home a few years after me and still works for our old company. We haven't seem each other in what, six years? We live in the same city, I'm actually kind of shocked we haven't run into each other, we run in very similar circles. But my friend that was visiting and old boss are still great friends so I invited old boss to the party yesterday.
I was hoping it wouldn't be weird.... but it was kind of weird. . She's kind of weird in general though. AND she bought my kid a drum set! Gah, we really aren't friends lol.
I'm an AW so here are a few photos. Hungry caterpillar theme. I had the older two color the decorations from a great on theme coloring book I found. Also, DS1 helped the baby with his cupcake! It melts my heart it's so sweet. I love that my kids love each other.
DD and I had our first Music Together class this morning. It was so much fun (a little chaotic and noisy) and I think she really liked all the instruments.
Today is the fifth day in a row that she has only napped once, so I think we have finally transitioned from 2 naps to 1.
There was a news story on the weekend about a missing person (he has been found) whose name was Jeffeory. I thought it was a typo the first time I saw the story, but apparently not.
One of the kids working at HP world was named Cleytin according to his badge
I know everyone needs money of course, but it would be great if $5K just fell into our laps somehow. We have several big purchases that need to happen right NOW, but of course we don't have that kind of cash, so of course the thing I want/need gets pushed back.
We need to buy the chicken coop ($1K) now, otherwise the birds will be too small to survive the winter. That plus our upcoming travel (visiting family, not fun travel) means we can't buy a second bed to retreat from DH's snoring
Just got an email from the kids' school that they are taking the 3-6 classroom on a field trip to a pumpkin patch/zoo/hayride place in 2 weeks. WAY TO OUTDO ME, DAYCARE.
Seriously, though, we were planning on going in 2 weeks, too. I mean, I know it will still be new for DS2 and DS1 will still have fun, but still.
ETA: I am happy they take field trips because Z loves them and blah blah blah.
I love that preschool takes the kids to the pumpkin patch because then we don't have to!

I know this will probably make some MM's die, but I would totally finance the bed if this is the case. Especially since 0% financing deals are aplenty with furniture sales.
Or go to ikea. I bought a really cheap mattress for DD's trundle bed and it's surprisingly not all that uncomfortable.
I'm off today! Tomorrow is my birthday, but I have meetings so I took today off instead, yay three day weekend. DH, DS and I are off to The Big E (for New Englanders). I think DS will enjoy the people watching and in excited for fair food... MMmm...
I was wondering if the design came from Pinterest! I made a very similar cake/cupcakes for my friend's Eric Carle themed baby shower last year, and also stole ideas from Pinterest. Mine didn't turn out quite as nice though :-)

Sure, but then how am I supposed to get a cider donut (OR DOUGHNUT)?
I would probably like it more if we had cider doughnuts here. (I only learned about them here, lol.) Our pumpkin patch is hot and dusty (or muddy when it rains)

Yeah, I would totally do this as well.
Not to mention you have a newborn coming in a few months - so I think figuring out a solid sleeping solution is a pretty high priority. The second bed will more than pay for itself once the next kid comes along. If you get up to feed the kid in the MOTN and then can't fall back asleep because of H's snoring then shit would be hitting the fan in my house.

My H finances things whenever a 0% deal comes along. He says it's free money. It's like a badge of honor to him to take advantage of it, lol. We actually replaced our mattress last year on some 0% deal.
Oh I see it the same way and have done it several times. My DH is the opposite of yours though. He pays cash for almost everything. However, there are times when his opinion doesn't matter and if we were in @supergreen's situation, we'd be financing some furniture or shelving the farm fun for a few years.
I just checked my package from UPS that has my Costco Matty M leggings in it. This morning it said 'out for delivery' but now it's been changed to 'in transit' and the new scheduled delivery date is tomorrow. NO!

I love the BigE! We are going this weekend.
It was great! DS is too young for most of the rides, but just had a blast watching everything. Lots of yummy beers & food for DH and I. The biggest hit was a light up maraca for $1. DS hasn't stopped shaking it the whole ride home, lol

I was hoping to kill two birds with one stone. Move the ratty college futon (which is a bed) into the office as the backup bed, and buy a real adult couch for the living room. So a decent couch is probably $800ish right? We talked last night and DH did say we would throw the couch on the CC if I was getting desperate. So now the decision to have CC debt (which we clawed our way out of) rests on me. No pressure SG!
