I am really anxious about a couple of things including starting my new job in 2 weeks and a friend's diagnosis with cancer so I am acting out by spending lots of money. Got to rein it in!

I've been back at work for 5 months and today was the first day I forgot pump parts. Parked and was walking to the building when I realized I had a cooler and bottles but no shields or membranes. That was a fun drive home and back! At least it was my early day so I didn't get to leave earlier but didn't have to stay late either.
We took all the 0-12 month baby clothes out of the attic and washed them this weekend. I had forgotten how much stuff we had. I don't think we have to buy any clothes/bedding/bibs for DS2. On one hand this is great, so MM! On the other hand I feel the need to buy something!
We do need a new car seat because it's been five years and a new crib mattress because, well, let's just say the other one was well loved by the end. I'll probably get a new high chair and an infant insert for the Ergo. Our new stroller was gifted so all I need is the bassinet and the skate board for DS1.
Compared to the shopping blitz I did for DS1 it's just hard to wrap my head around everything being pretty turn key.

I've been losing my mucus plug today, which is freaking me out because I didn't lose it with DS1 until a few hours before my water broke. Combined with the knowledge that I'm 3cm dilated/80% effaced - I'm feeling all jittery. I'd really like to stay pregnant until 39 weeks. If anyone would like to share stories about how they stayed pregnant for several more weeks in the same situation, I would find it very comforting!
Tomorrow is my last day at home with DD. She goes to daycare Wednesday and I start work Thursday.
So many feelings!! I have really enjoyed this time with her, and am so sad to leave her, but not so sad that I will quit my job. I am probably going to read my post about why I will never leave my firm one million times this week.
holly116, that is an awesome party theme, I'm going to remember that for DS's bday. We call him Carterpiller from the book.
Aww thanks! I thought it was appropriate because he's currently eating everything and I know that doesn't last . Plus, super easy theme to follow for food and literally a few balloons with construction paper and you have a cute caterpillar. I served everything the bug eats in the book plus a few heavier appetizers and called it a day. Much easier than my previous parties. Gymboree has some cute Eric Carle stuff right now too.
Speaking of which, is anyone up on Gymboree's markdown strategy? Like, if they just rolled out a new line yesterday, how long till it goes on sale?
And because you're one of my fitness inspirations, here's a gratuitous blurry dressing room shot from earlier. Single digit skinny jeans! I went to ae to try the infamous jeggings and they made me claustrophobic lol. The super skinnies were good though.

I want to watch the new Outlander show so badly. We don't have any kind of cable though, so I'm out of luck. Someday they'll put it on Netflix or something, right? Meantime, I'm reading the first book again. It's weird that they're so young!

I don't know about the mucus plug, but one of my friends walked around at 3 cm for at least 2 weeks before she had her baby.
I know this will probably make some MM's die, but I would totally finance the bed if this is the case. Especially since 0% financing deals are aplenty with furniture sales.
Or go to ikea. I bought a really cheap mattress for DD's trundle bed and it's surprisingly not all that uncomfortable.
I was hoping to kill two birds with one stone. Move the ratty college futon (which is a bed) into the office as the backup bed, and buy a real adult couch for the living room. So a decent couch is probably $800ish right? We talked last night and DH did say we would throw the couch on the CC if I was getting desperate. So now the decision to have CC debt (which we clawed our way out of) rests on me. No pressure SG!
@supergreen, your sleep depravation is playing tricks on your brain.
Take advantage of a 0% furniture or mattress offer, or put it on the cc. You're not charging daily living expenses to make ends meet, and you're not putting a trip to Mexico on there. You need sleep.
I booted my H to the couch Saturday and Sunday nights because his snoring was keeping me up. I felt a tiny bit bad, but I slept on the couch Thursday and Friday because he had strep. Fair's fair.

You look fantastic! Single digits, woohoo! And I'm so thrilled to be called a fitness inspiration, you have now inspired me to do more with my health coaching Facebook page, which I will use to eventually launch my life coaching. So thank You!
