Oct 2012 rf'ing. I may switch him when he turns two? He is heavy enough, our seat ff'ing weight is 22 lbs. He seems fine most of the time though so I am going to try to make it until we move next summer and are in the car for days.
Dh is counting down the days to flip him in his truck. He agreed to keep him rf until two.
Yes, J is just shy of 28mos. No plans to turn him anytime soon. Most likely he will stay rf until he outgrows seat which should be around 3. But hard to tell.

Our September 2012 huge toddler at 32 lbs and 36" is still RF. We have the Fnoof plus we don't drive daily. He also doesn't mind being RF. He loves to look out the window.
DS1 was born on Valentines Day 2012 and I turned him late last year. I had a newborn and a preschooler and a tight fitting garage with only one available door to load everyone into the van. Something had to get easier and flipping him so I could configure the seats made the most sense. Sorrynotsorry. DD RFed forever and I have no plans to flip DS2 anytime soon.
Fwiw, he's huge, barely on the charts and weighs close to 40 lbs. He's larger than my 4 yo
Snowflake. My July 2012 kiddo is rear facing in my car in a chicco nextfit, but he's forward facing in MH's truck because he outgrew the rear facing limit of his britax pavilion.
I'm not sure how much longer we'll last RFing in my car though because now he tantrums in the car about wanting to turn around since he is used to it in MH's truck. I'm trying to stick it out, but it's starting to get distracting.
My August 2012 son is on the small side so I don't see flipping him any time soon. The one exception is when he puked all over himself and his carseat at the start of a two hour trip. It was pouring out and there was no way to get his carseat clean so I threw it in the back and put him in his sister's forward facing seat. He thought he'd died and gone to heaven! Of course I had all the windows rolled down due to the puke smell and he was screaming like he was on an amusement ride. (kinda like the pig in the Geico commercial except inside the car) I felt bad the next time I put him in rear facing again but he hasn't figured out he's missing out yet.
My november 2012 child was flipped FF in early September. I was detailing my car, she exceeds the requirements, I figured what the hell. Holy language explosion!
Shameless PIP of my giant almost 2 year old RF in our Nextfit. He is 32 lbs and probably 34ish inches.
Do you have any issues getting him in there? Jw because I already feel like I'm going to accidentally bang DS2's head on the car since the seat is so big. But, we have it in a Fusion so not a huge car or anything. I bought the Nextfit because of the shell size, and now I'm just hoping I can actually ERF for a long time without too many bruises, hah.
Yeah, sometimes I bang his head on the door. MOTY. He's pretty smart though so I figure it's fine. No serious incidents yet.

I can't even count the number of times I've smacked both kids' heads on the door frame of the car getting them in. You are not alone.
O is still rear facing, but technically only rides in the car once every other month or so.
Curious if switching to FF has helped anyone's kids w/ car sickness? O's been barfing on long rides (and we only take long rides) and I've been making him wear a bib to catch it.
We turned dd2 at 18mos because of carsickness. I cleaned up puke (vomit, not spit up) at least 6 times before I gave up. She still can get sick on longer rides, but it doesn't happen on our shorter trips at all anymore. The pedi recommended Benadryl if we were desperate.
My child also has a really large head. So that also plays into how much I accidentally bang it against things. There's just a lot of surface area there.

Feb 2012, and we turned her FF shortly after ahe turned two. I could not deal with the fight to get her in anymore, especially since I was exhausted and pregnant. I felt pressure to stick it out from MMM actually, but it was the right choice for our situation.
Dd3 is April 2012 and still RF, probably for a while longer. She's petite and likes RF since she's in the middle row of the minivan and dd1 and 2 are in the back, RF she can see them, FF I think she'd be bored

J loves looking out the window too. My sister sits back there with him sometimes and she is the one who told me he talks about all the cars, asks where they are going, and will crane his neck to see out. She said he loves his view. All the more reason for me to leave him rear facing, he certainly isn't complaining!
Oct 2012, still RF in his Nextfit and Boulevard. He barely even hits the FF requirements at 23 lbs, and doesn't complain, so I dont see turning him anytime soon.
We have FF him in DHs "fun" jeep and I was nervous lol.
DH wants to turn him now, but I think it pedi will take my side and convince him to keep him RF. He drives in my car 90% of the time, anyway.
Oh, and I bump his head alllll the time. I have him in the middle of the backseat, so a bit of acrobatics are required to grt him in there.
