I forgot how much big boys eat. I did not properly stock up for feeding SS again. Fortunately he makes a good babysitter so I could run out for a few staples to get us through until my next big grocery trip.

Andrew had this new Cookie Monster toy. After only two days, it stopped working. I asked DH to replace the batteries. He said he did and it still wasn't working, so I contacted Playskool about getting a replacement. It isn't made anymore, so they sent me a comparable replacement. Well, I just tried switching batteries on a whim. The original demo batteries were still in there. DH lied about changing them. It works now. I kind of feel bad, but with the amount of stuff we buy from Playskool, not too bad.
I ordered these based on a recommendation from here. I love them.Â
Yay! Na posted about them first and then I did recently. You just convinced me to order!Â
They were really fast too! I ordered last Saturday night, they shipped them on Monday and they came today. They actually made it to Canada on Thursday but didn't clear customs in time for Friday delivery (no Saturday Mail here). I'm very pleased with them!

MH is putting A down for the first time in weeks and from the sounds of it, it is not going well. I feel kind of bad, because he has been going down easily for me. But if I go in there, it will just make things worse. Plus I'm eating chocolate.
I successfully (knock on wood) got someone to sleep in their own crib so far tonight. I have leftover Dino BBQ in the oven, strawberry rhubarb peanut butter bars, and wine ready to go. Sadly I didn't have as much wine as I thought...not quite a glass but I'll take it.

I was going to purge my master bathroom tonight. I think I may be drinking beer and promptly sleeping instead. Oh, denial.
rileym2010, I meant to reply to your quote earlier! How are you feeling?! How's your new duty station? Does H like his new job? Does Evan love it there? Details, beautiful!
Calvin is getting way too good with the walker. It's going to be stressful to have another early walker.
I'll be in Denver in one week! So excited!
I haven't been around as regularly since H arrived... Is there a GTG plan?
We have talked about it but no plans have been set yet. We'll figure out something soon though! @huahualove claralou @therealmc LiveLoveLearnplayswithsquirrels @lindy. I think that's everyone?

That dog we were potentially getting showed too much anxiety around people, and especially a kid, so we told MIL we couldn't do it. Luckily, though, they decided to hold of on euthanizing her and she was adopted! Now my MIL is spamming Patrick with other dogs and Patsy's like, "Mom.Stop." He was specifically interested in that dog.

I got free lunch yesterday from Freshmarket. Their cash register went haywire and people were being really rude the the cashier even though she clearly was stressed and trying her best to fix it. The lady in front of me got all huffy and stormed off, so I was first in line when they moved us to the next register. When that one broke, she sent everyone else to another register and just told me thank you for being so kind and patient, don't worry about paying. It was about $18 worth of food between both of our sandwiches and some pasta salad that I got from the deli--well worth an extra 10 minutes!

Edie started a new daycare today. It's a big center where her and the twins will all be able to go to once they're here. I cried (okay, sobbed) all the way to work because she was confused as to why her friends weren't there (she went to her old daycare lady with a few of our friends kids and they are really close).
Well, she did great! Ate well, napped well and even peed on the potty several times! DH had a hard time getting her to leave because she wanted to show him everything in her classroom. These darn kids are so resilient
I spent all night filling out grant applications and a donorschoose application for my classroom. I feel sort of weird asking people for money, but I guess this is how good teachers get stuff for their classrooms. All of this crazy stuff my coworker and I are doing for class is awesome. But it's exhausting. I do work stuff constantly and I hope I'm not burnt out in a month...or the end of the week.
We've been in our new place for 9 days and I'm already over having to use Time Warner cable. We used to have At&T U-verse, but they don't serve this city. So now, we're paying more money for an inferior product.

I've been listening to The Cranberries during my daily baths since thedahliharpa's angsty music post. So thank you dahli!
Funny random story: I was obsessed with The Cranberries in 7-10th grades and I went through a phase when I would play them to fall asleep every night. At the time of this phase I had a suicidal online boyfriend in Missouri who I met in a Star Wars chat room on AOL, so these songs spoke my FEELINGS. Lol. My poor mom.
