1. Where are you in your TTC Journey? - cycle 18, CD19, 5 DPO
2. Are you testing this week? - trying to hold out until Sunday. DH leaves for a work trip to Japan and China, so I'd like to test before he leaves, but I'll only be 10 DPO, which I feel is too soon.
3. Any TTC Randoms/Stories/Charts to share? - I'm actually really struggling with this whole TTC thing. Up until this month I've had moments where our inability to get pregnant has bugged me, but it's now a constant thing. Sigh.
4. How would you like to decorate the nursery. Bonus points for photo! - I would love a Harry Potter themed nursery, but nothing too over the top. Navy accents, along with some other colors. Haven't planned it all out in my head yet. And owls, love owls.

1. Where are you in your TTC Journey? TTCAL Cycle 6, CD 20
2. Are you testing this week? Still waiting for O? My temps haven't confirmed O yet, but I've had my other normal symptoms, ewcm, cp, some small cramps, etc. So I'm hoping my temp. goes up today or else I'll be freaking out that I didn't really O this cycle.
3. Any TTC Randoms/Stories/Charts to share? This is likely our last cycle trying for a while. I will finish school in May so I have job interviews and other stuff that I can't be pregnant for, plus having a baby the first couple months into a new job seems like a bad idea. So I'm pretty upset. I was trying not to worry too much about it since I didn't want to give DH "performance anxiety" but it sucks. (I'm a week late on my 'this week sucks post' - sorry guys, I hope everyone else's week is much improved!)
4. How would you like to decorate the nursery. Bonus points for photo! I don't really have a specific nursery in mind, but I think we will be team green so I like the color combo of red and light blue/turquoise. I think it works for boy or girl and we can add navy if its a boy or pink if its a girl after the fact.
1. Where are you in your TTC Journey? Cycle 6, CD 6.
2. Are you testing this week? Nope.
3. Any TTC Randoms/Stories/Charts to share? I've started seeing a naturopathic doctor who specializes in fertility. She has me working on losing weight, drinking a tea made of red clover blossoms and oat straw which is supposed to support the ovulation process (it sounds gross, but it takes like plain black tea), and she wants to me to start acupuncture. Apparently it's only really effective on cycle days 3, 10, 17, 21, etc. which for me is a Saturday, and they're not open on Saturdays (of course!). So I'm considering starting next cycle provided I don't get pregnant this cycle, and provided that those CDs are a week day.
4. How would you like to decorate the nursery. Bonus points for photo! I change my mind too frequently. Ask me when I'm actually pregnant and it's time to sort that out.
1. Where are you in your TTC Journey? TTC since Nov 2013, Clomid cycle #3, CD 10
2. Are you testing this week? I will probably start with OPK's at the end of the week.
3. Any TTC Randoms/Stories/Charts to share? We had our follow up with the RE yesterday. DH's SA was excellent and my tubes are clear. So our only issue seems to be my PCOS/anovulation. Clomid 100 mg last month finally made me O so the plan now is to stay with that for the rest of the year. If I'm not pregnant by bew years we will reconsider but that probably means we go straight for IVF.
4. How would you like to decorate the nursery. Bonus points for photo! No plans for a nursery yet. Baby will stay with us for at least the first 6 months
1. Where are you in your TTC Journey? Cycle 8, CD 16
2. Are you testing this week? Nope
3. Any TTC Randoms/Stories/Charts to share? I didn't realize until recently how much pressure H is putting on himself regarding TTC. I keep telling him that it can take up to a year for healthy couples, but he keeps talking about how he's old and he thinks he's defective. I don't really know what to say to make him feel better.
4. How would you like to decorate the nursery. Bonus points for photo! I try not to think about it, but I would like to do something gender neutral and calm. Maybe a soft green with a forest theme or something like that.
4. How would you like to decorate the nursery. Bonus points for photo! - I would love a Harry Potter themed nursery, but nothing too over the top. Navy accents, along with some other colors. Haven't planned it all out in my head yet. And owls, love owls.
My H can never, ever get wind of this idea! LOL
Sorry you are having a rough time, have you looked further into testing yet?
Yep, DH and I have talked about it more. I've looked through our insurance options and what it will require, and I've made an appt with my gyn for a referral to an RE. I've also scoped out REs that are in-network for insurance. I think I'll feel a lot better once I have my RE appt.
I still have hopes for this cycle though. We didn't have terrible timing, so it's possible!

1. Where are you in your TTC Journey? Cycle 6 CD12 - BD week
2. Are you testing this week? I will start OPK's this afternoon, although I rarely get a positive. I caught it last month though so I'm testing early and often.
3. Any TTC Randoms/Stories/Charts to share? DH is a man with a plan. He's decided every other day is too few but every day is too often so we're alternating mornings and nights (1.5 days). If this works, he is going to take all the credit. I'm ok with that.
4. How would you like to decorate the nursery. Bonus points for photo! The walls are already a really nice soft turquoise. I'm team green so I am planning on accenting with crisp white and orange. I have fabric in those colours and patterns to make both a boy's and girl's quilt. I will donate whichever one the baby isn't, or hold onto it until the next family baby comes along.
1. Where are you in your TTC Journey? Can't remember cycle #s! Trying for #2 since a loss in May. CD 19, probably 2 DPO.
2. Are you testing this week? Nope
3. Any TTC Randoms/Stories/Charts to share? Nah, just chugging along
4. How would you like to decorate the nursery. Bonus points for photo! I'm loving gray, and we need a new crib anyway, so I'm hoping to do that with a white ikea Hemnes dresser.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.

bcv513 I'm sorry about your H! Can you remind him that guys' age isn't nearly as important as the woman's age? Look at Hugh Hefner!
Thank you. I have told him that, and I think he feels a little better. It doesn't help that all four of our parents are begging for grandchildren. I gave up temping this month, and I think for the next couple of months we'll just focus on having fun. We have a date night planned for tonight. I have my annual with my gyn in December, so maybe we'll try to relax until then.

That sounds good! I wish people would back off. It makes it so much worse.

1. Where are you in your TTC Journey? Cycle 10, CD16, 5DPO
2. Are you testing this week? no
3. Any TTC Randoms/Stories/Charts to share? well i had a temp drop this morning so FF decided to take away my crosshairs! but i think i O'd when it said i did, and this morning's drop was just a result of mouth-breathing or something. i really don't think it was a period drop. AND i did have the weirdest wave of nausea when i was having my morning coffee. probably just coincidence, but i couldn't help but take notice since it was like 10 minutes after the FF weirdness.
4. How would you like to decorate the nursery. Bonus points for photo! NO PASTELS. and i want a letter wall, and brighter colors and no matchy-matchy bedding sets. oh, and i've got my vintage jenny lind crib i want to paint something other than white,
4. How would you like to decorate the nursery. Bonus points for photo!
I'm posting here for the first time, partly because I need to talk about TTC and don't want to annoy ML about it. Hope nobody here minds.
We are cycle 4 for our 2nd, CD8.
No testing, but I might start some OPKs next week.
I'm frustrated and in some unknown territory here, since our first was conceived on our first month trying. This is my first month temping and charting. I know I need to keep perspective, since 4 months is nothing compared to what many couples experience, but given our first success, this is an adjustment for sure.
If we have a girl, I love the color combo peachy/pink with ivory. Pops of color with flowers.
A second boy, definitely a blue room of some sort. We will probably adapt Andy's Happy Camper nursery to a different color scheme.
1. Where are you in your TTC Journey? TTC #2 since Oct '12, CD 28, 12 DPO
2. Are you testing this week? I tested Sunday and of course it was BFN. I knew it but still tested anyways.
3. Any TTC Randoms/Stories/Charts to share? Met with my new RE doctor. Once I start my new cycle we are going to start Clomid. We'll do a couple of rounds with that Nd if it doesn't work we'll do an IUI.
4. How would you like to decorate the nursery. Bonus points for photo! I know of we have a boy DH wants to do a Star Wars theme room. I know totally dorky but I found the cutest ideas on Pinterest. If we have a girl I want to decorate in turquoise and coral. I love this combination.
Post by ginkgoleaf on Sept 23, 2014 14:46:06 GMT -5
1. TTC #2 since September 2013. Currently on cycle 3 of Clomid/cycle 4 of IUI. 2DPO based on Sunday's IUI.
2. Nope
3. Our count was really low this time, so I'm not feeling optimistic. I'm frustrated because it was my first cycle since being on Clomid that I've had EWCM and I also tried a round of acupuncture, but it seems it will likely all be for naught. I'm tired of throwing about $1,500 down the toilet each month between meds, monitoring, and IUI (we're all out of pocket). Sigh.
4. Well we already have a kid, so we're in the process of working on his "big boy" room and will make his current room be the nursery again since it's the smallest bedroom and right across the hall from our room. It has aqua walls and neutral bedding, with a bit of a woodland/outdoors theme (grasshoppers on the bedding). We have a couple cute prints with numbers and letters with animals next to each one and had a butterfly and dragonfly mobile with DS. He eventually got tall enough that he ripped it down, but I will get something similar for the next kid.

1. Where are you in your TTC Journey? Cycle 9459. Or at least it feels like it. 12dpo.
2. Are you testing this week? Already did. Had a blood test yesterday. BFN. Just waiting for CD1 at this point, and we're not sure what we're going to do next.
3. Any TTC Randoms/Stories/Charts to share? DS has to have surgery next month, which kinda screws things up for any fertility treatments. I have to see when CD1 hits (normally it would be tomorrow, but not sure if Clomid will have changed my LP length). Last time I went for monitoring on CD10 but if I get CD1 tomorrow, I won't be back in town until CD12. So we may lose a cycle. And the cycle after that, because we again have to travel for follow-ups for the surgery and we have to stay 3 days next time, plus DH also has a business trip. Then my clinic closes (for IVF at least) in December so maybe January at this rate
Every day I get at least one pregnancy announcement. I seriously can't even deal with pregnant people anymore because I'm becoming so bitter, especially the ones who are all "we weren't trying and boom, pregnant". I'm just a ray of f*cking sunshine lately, so I've just been avoiding them for everyone's sake! I know I can't avoid them all forever though. I need to get out of my funk because I don't like the way I feel lately!
Upside to knowing before CD1 that I'm not pregnant: I can cope with wine
4. How would you like to decorate the nursery. Bonus points for photo! We don't have another bedroom for a nursery. There's only 2 bedrooms upstairs and they're taken, unless phantom baby shares with DS. We're currently refinishing our basement and then I've been seriously hinting to DH that we need to get an architect in to see what we can/can't do with our living space. We really need more bedrooms and I don't love the current layout of our upstairs! We have plenty of property on which to expand... but I know it'll be $$$.

Hugs to jessnpaul and one_sly_bookworm 1. Ttc since June 13. Cd 4 2. No 3. It looks like my H may be oot during my fertile week this cycle. He will be a few hours away he offered to come home if I needed him to, he's a sweet guy. Also high five ovaries for getting your act together for a normal cycle last month. I'm hoping for a repeat performance this cycle, no uti this time though. 4. Our home is a very natural rustic cabin style lots of wood and earth tones I imagine it will fit in with that scheme,

Bonus points for photo! - I would love a Harry Potter themed nursery, but nothing too over the top. Navy accents, along with some other colors. Haven't planned it all out in my head yet. And owls, love owls.
Adore this idea! I just started re-reading all of the books again because I can't remember the last time I had. ❤️
1. Am on cycle 1 after a m/mc found last week. 2. No testing this week. 3. We would like to be team green, so we have a light yellow room with navy blue curtains. We would like to do a nautical theme with lots of navy blue, white, yellow and sailing accents.
1. C 18 CD4 2. No 3. Counting down the days to the dr appt we will be doing in January. That was how long H wanted to "try harder" until. 4. The room is currently painted turquoise. It will stay painted that color, and I'll throw in some hot pink/purple if girl and maybe green if boy.
1. Where are you in your TTC Journey? Cycle 9; CD 12 2. Are you testing this week? Nope. Will start OPKs at the end of the week. 3. Any TTC Randoms/Stories/Charts to share? Nada. 4. How would you like to decorate the nursery. Bonus points for photo! For a girl I want whites, gold, and mint. Something like this: For a boy I like cool greys, and no matter the sex I DEFINATELY want this rocker:

1. Where are you in your TTC Journey? cycle 11, cd20, 4dpo
2. Are you testing this week? nope
3. Any TTC Randoms/Stories/Charts to share? results for DH's SA came back. everything was normal there. his blood panel showed an elevated prolactin. they redrew, so waiting on results of that. I have my cd21 blood draw tomorrow for progesterone. not feeling super confident about this month just because I don't feel any different and it's been so many months of negatives. we had decent timing (o-4, 0-1, o+1), but I guess we'll see. I feel like we have decent timing every month and we haven't been successful. also, we'll see if I'm one of the lucky ones that manages to get pregnant after an HSG.
4. How would you like to decorate the nursery. Bonus points for photo! can't decide if I would want to go dark and cozy or light and bright. I have a bunch of William Wegman puppy calendars that I have been saving for like 10 years just for the purpose of framing them for a nursery one day.
here are a few of my favorite nurseries that I have pinned:
1. Where are you in your TTC Journey? Cycle 7, CD 13
2. Are you testing this week? Just OPKs
3. Any TTC Randoms/Stories/Charts to share? Had CD 12 yesterday for my first Letrozole cycle. The biggest follicle was only 12.5 so I'm going back for blood work tomorrow and probably another ultrasound on Thursday. And I have a huge deadline at work next week. I don't have time to go to the RE 3 times in a week!
4. How would you like to decorate the nursery. Bonus points for photo! I'm very excited for this. I'm leaning towards a vintage aviation for a boy and vintage travel or Australian animals for a girl. I also quilt so I'm always keeping my eye out for cute fabric.

1. Where are you in your TTC Journey? Cycle 5 CD 7 TTCAL
2. Are you testing this week? Nope. Probably opks this weekend since I think I am O ing early.
3. Any TTC Randoms/Stories/Charts to share? Nope. Next month I might share.
4. How would you like to decorate the nursery. Bonus points for photo! Just painted light turquoise. Trying not to think too much about it in case it turns into a craft room instead I do love seeing everyone's inspiration!
