I would be so stressed out trying to pack for an S&B GTG. LOL.
I would be trying to make sure I wasn't going to be exact twinsies with others since we on the board have a lot of alike pieces. It's fine since we all live in various places. Lol

I may be in as well and totally vote for Nashville!! I can drive there and have plenty of room for more luggage to bring stuff home LOL-I already do a girls trip in May so I am good with anytime other than that!

I agree with smo. Minneapolis is awesome. We should do a Mall of America gtg. The Radisson Blu is fabulous and attached to the mall...that way we have shopping, tons of restaurants and bars and no need for driving! Eta: and the train goes straight there from the airport. No going outside necessary.
I want to go. But don't hold up any details for me. I also have to figure out how to explain this to dh. At least he has heard of natariru. And I would love to go to Nashville.
This sounds like so much fun! I am in but most likely my work won't approve any leave. Soon as y'all decide time and place I will have to see if I can get my boss to give me the weekend off. I work every Friday night on 3rd shift. Grr.
I have family in Minneapolis and love Mall of America but I refuse to travel there in the winter. Lol also I've done my share of planes in and out of there in snowy weather and there are always delays and cancellations for weather so it's risky.
Plus all you cold weather ladies, won't you want a break from the freeze come February?

"Hey honey, I'm doing a weekend getaway with my fashion board internet lady friends. It's totally cool, I see all their outfits and know their shopping habits very intimately and what they do on most weekends. So it's totally not creepy that we are gonna fly to a random city to hang out and shop and meet for the first time. Cool? Cool! Thanks!!"

This is perfect. he somewhat knows of you guys. He doesn't know it's fashion related though. I say these girls I know from a mom site.
I kind of giggled about the planning process to DH the other night. The seed has been planted. Bwahahahahaha. I think he'd be okay with me going just as long as it's not to Vegas.
I'll take Florida/Miami, but don't really see any perks other than the weather, spas, and nightlife lol. jm1211 can add to this :-)
Miami - hotels, drinks, transportation, and well just about everything is expensive. Orlando - Shopping blows now that we don't have Nordstrom anymore, and transportation would be a total hassle - I have an SUV so I could drive 5 of us around lol Key West - No shopping but could walk everywhere, beach, amazing restaurants, and would be drunk 24-7
I'd love to throw out all the great reasons we should do SF but let's be honest, that shiz would be expensive and super long to get to for anyone that isn't on the west coast.
Should we settle on timeframe? I think February would be good bc it's enough time to plan but it really cancels out anywhere with true winters. So @smorriso's timeframe would work best for MN/CHI for sure. February is close enough to be excited about but limits location options due to weather.
Mid/late May to early June I'm out as we will be doing a week anniversary trip and so fun money funds will go towards that. But don't plan around me. I'll make it if I can. But again may/June call for pretty awesome weather. And who doesn't love patio cocktails?!

Miami - Weather is great, great restaurant options, night life with lots of variety, many shopping options including cute boutiques.
Orlando - I like Orlando but only because I live here and have to like it but I don't know I would recommend it for the purpose of a GTG. This is more of a family destination or if you want to go to the parks. The shopping is decent, hotel rates aren't bad and we've got lots of areas with charm and nice restaurants. So if there's anyone that really wants to come it's not a bad place to visit but I wouldn't mind getting away for a gtg.
Can I throw in Atlanta to the list of options? I really like GA in general but maybe Atlanta area S&B'ers can add why it's a good option.
- My favorite bar scene. And bars never close! - Fantastic live music 24/7. Every little hole-in-the-wall has a world-class performer - Amazing food. - Very walkable. - Warm weather. - I have a lot of musician and burlesque performer friends there who know all the best spots
(I don't know anything about the shopping situation since I don't enjoy shopping.)
