Hello everyone, My DH and I have just decided, tentatively, to TTC. We want two kids if all goes to plan, and I am 31, so it seemed like a good idea to get started. I'm nervous about it. I enjoy my life - my marriage, my pets, and my job, etc... And everything will certainly be turned upside down! But we've hit all the milestones we wanted to hit outside of kids and it is a good time for us to start trying.
I'm way at the beginning of the process, just googling and so on.
One of my quirks is that I research things obsessively, so that it always takes way, way too long to buy anything or make hotel reservations and the like. Right now, I'm obsessing about prenatal vitamins. I was hoping, I have to admit, to find a good gummy version. I find that I remember to take gummies because I like them and they are easier to swallow. But apparently they are missing some necessary ingredients and you have to supplement them anyway.
If you'd like to stop into my post and say hello, would you mind also putting me out of my obsessive googler misery and recommend a pill that didn't make you sick, didn't cost you an arm and a leg, and wasn't the size of a small kitten?
Edit: I should probably mention that I have PCOS, or at least enough of the symptoms for a diagnosis. I've had some very annoying issues with periods that last all month. I took me awhile to find a BC that regulated my periods, as several pill types didn't put a dent in the all month periods. I'm just going off the BC that worked for the first time in 8 months, and I'm hoping I've achieved a degree of regularity, but only time will tell.

welcome.
I take the Target gummy prenatals. they don't have iron or a lot of DHA, but they have the recommended amount of folic acid, so I'll take them until I'm actually pregnant, then switch to something else more complete.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
Welcome! I take Nature's Made but buy them at Costco where they are a lot cheaper. They've never bothered my stomach but they are a bit of a horse pill.

Welcome!
I was taking the Target brand regular prenatal vitamin pills, but my doctor told me you could take two children's gummies and that would be enough to cover the vitamins that you need. Hopefully that helps!

Ooo! I also take Nature Made with DHA. I should try to find them at costco. Last time I bought them at Walgreens they were BOGO, though. HOORAY!

Yep we buy all our meds at costco. Vitamins are usually included with the coupons every couple of months so I usually wait until then to buy. Unfortunately I'm on my third costco sized bottle and still nothing so that's a little depressing...

Welcome! I take the vitafusion prenatal, and have no issues with them. I'm a gummi vitamin person as well, as all the other "horse pill" varieties give me a horrible stomach ache.

I've only taken rainbow light prenatal one and I've not had any issues with it. I also have pcos but instead of month long periods I have super long cycles. I've been on metformin since March and have finally figured out the correct doseage fingers crossed it won't be long moe. Welcome to the board
