According to some sources on the interwebz, today is National Love Note Day. This morning, I found a little note in my purse from H, thanking me for being a great mom, wife, and friend. He never does that kind of thing so it was extra sweet. I should probably put out tonight.
Last night, H made a pumpkin cake with cream cheese frosting to experiment with recipes for N's birthday. It was amazing and I'm trying hard to make it to 10:45 without eating any. Then I can leave the house and not have access to it until 3:30. I can do this...

DS2 couldn't fall asleep last night or would only stay asleep for 20 or 30 mins. He's battling a cold and seemed feverish last night, so finally gave in to bedsharing all night at 11pm.
He slept pretty well as long as he was rightnexttome, so I didn't sleep as well. No real temp this morning though, just about 99.
L still cries when other kids cry in the gym daycare - Is there anything I can do about that? He is fussy after about 30minutes but fine as soon as I walk in the door. He has been going Mon-Friday for 6 weeks now...kinda thought he would be used to it so I could take advantage of my 2 hours/day!
I think I'll bribe the daycare ladies with bagels today. They keep a fussy baby for way longer then they have to so I try to keep them happy.
I'm really excited for the cute HA pjs to arrive.
DS still cries when the other kids cry and he's been going for almost six months. Let's just go with they are empathetic babies. I don't have any advice, sorry. I send him with Cheerios and sometimes the distraction works.
I need to buy some condoms and lube today. I've been cleared and it's H's birthday, so it's go time.
I'm kind of embarrassed. I don't think I've ever bought condoms.
I'd skip the condoms and risk it since your nursing a ton still, but I like to live on the edge when it comes to birth control.
We have Nod's two-year appointment and Ace's 2 month appointment this afternoon. I'm curious to see how much they have grown. I also want to talk to the doctor about weaning Nods.
I just joined Instagram this morning. I figured I should get with the program.

Yeah no. I have cousins who are ten months apart. ::shudder:: Did you see my post the other day about losing my mind? I would actually need to be committed if I got pregnant right now.

There is no living on the edge in this house. LOL
Seriously, don't do it!
My nieces are 11 months apart (they are now a very managable 20 & 21 years old, the best of friends, blahblahblah). My son just turned 11 months this week. My SIL said to me the other day, 'Hey, if you were me, you'd be in the hospital right now having a newborn!'
I just sort of started to rock in the corner, picturing it. No, thank you.
This week has been a struggle... Unfortunately weekends seem to also stress me out. H is not the best with newborns and his patience with M is wearing very thin lately.
I think I'm starting to accept that we are likely done having kids. I need to go through more of M's clothes and sell/donate. I'm sure I have a bunch of HA pjs, gap jeans, etc

Waiting for my ultrasound! So interested to see how big they think DS2 is going to be. Although if they tell me he's average I probably won't believe them anyway so I'm not sure why I'm feeling anxious.

Fucking a. There was a fire at the o'hare airport that we didn't know about until we got on the bus to get there. The website isn't working and my dad doesn't have the airline information to call about our flight. And probably wouldn't be able to get through anyway. So we're going to the airport and hoping for the best. Hopefully since our flight isn't til 4 central time it will be ok.
Part of me is hoping we can't go though because I really want to go to the Michigan game I already have tickets for tomorrow. I was so excited to take J to his first football game. But I couldn't pass up a chance to see my brother I haven't seen in 5 years.

I GET TO SLEEP IN MY OWN BED TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!
After 4 weeks of repair/construction, 9 nights in a 1 bedroom "guest suite" apartment and 1 night in a hotel, we're FINALLY back in our apartment with no holes in walls/floors/ceilings!
Now to get them to agree to our request to not have to pay rent in October...
DD has been awake for over 9 hours and hasn't even finished her 3rd bottle yet, so she's barely drank 11 oz at this point. She ate some breakfast and lunch and is having no issues with her diapers. We still have 3 more bottles and 1 dinner to go in the next 3 - 4 hours. Yikes.

I have put carrots on DD's plate probably 50 times only to be rejected every time. The last time I offered them, she licked them. Tonight she ate them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DD2 gained 1lb 5oz and 1.5" in two weeks. Holy moly.
Wow! Grow, baby, grow!
There's so little feedback from caring for a newborn that I get really excited when I see his weight increasing. Guess that 4.5 hours daily of nursing is getting us somewhere!

Confession: I'm planning to lie to any IRL friends who ask how my growth ultrasound went today and tell them we haven't set an induction date even though we did. They've all been so judgmental about the possibility of induction, I don't want to deal with their comments.
I am finally getting serious about finding a toddler Tula. Poor DS complained about his legs hurting the entire time we were at the mall today because the Ergo was cutting into his thigh Time to start stalking FB groups.

You are brave to take a baby to a game. We plan to go to the game against PSU but my ILs will take him home and we get to go alone!! Though this is the year to go, tickets are so cheap.
Took B on a walk tonight. Actual walking on the sidewalk - he thought he was so cool! Hit up an art gallery and the brew store. He also ate an adult portion of pot roast tonight and a ton of carrots. Then downed TWO milks!

Our flight was amazingly not cancelled!
I'm so excited to hopefully take him to a game this year. Although the seat are super small and uncomfortable, might not be as great as the baseball game we went to. He's really easy going though. And yeah tickets are cheap, we are sucking majorly >.<
