I've been to the movie theater (which is great) and legoland. I did check out off 5th and found nada. But those are it. I'd say definitely worth checking out though. I'm scared to go to the jcrew outlet
Yes, RockNVoll! Its outlets, restaurants, a movie theater, new luxury apartments, etc. Its a HUGE new fancy complex, complete with its own shiny new T stop. They also host things like free run club, yoga, boot camp, etc. Its been a pretty big deal for Somerville. New shops and restaurants will be opening for a while.
Last time the kids went to legoland there was a dog diving competition. Oh and there's a park there they like. I really need to get a life.
The complex is definitely still in the early stages. There was a lot of cute stuff at the JCrew outlet, but the prices seemed on par with the regular store so I bought a pair of leggings/pants with a gift card and moved on.
The Banana outlet was awesome! I'm usually not a huge BR fan but I got SO much cute stuff, including the elusive to all women PERFECT BLACK WORK PANTS. I bought 2 pairs of the same style because I've literally been searching for a new pair for 2 years. If any of my fellow small waist + big ass and thighs ladies are searching for black pants, the BR Jackson fit ones are bomb. I also got a bunch of cute shirts.
I continue to be baffled by all the seemingly stylish women on GBCN that love Loft. I found nothing good. It seems very Nana-ish to me.
I had to jet after that because K was waiting for me at home, but I want to check out more stores plus the restaurants. I think AR is gonna be great once its fully up and running.
I LOVE the Banana Outlet! We've been hitting the one in Merrimack! I'm psyched to hear there is one closer now!

It's just alright. I have to drive through it to get to work (shirt cut, but before it opened it was a wicked short cut, now it's more trafficky). Lego is awesome and the theater is nice. The park us very fun for the kids, if you've got any. The fried pickles at the burger dive are so yum once in a while. I over did it this summer and had to take a break lol.
I grew up on the other side of 93 there, and used to walk to the assembly mall. Those were the days
I haven't been in ages but have heard the revamped movie theatre is awesome. I believe it was still the Assembly Sq Mall last time I was there. Though fun fact, do you know why it's called Assembly square?
A: It's because that original line of buildings was an actual assembly plant for a car called the Edsel.
Why do I know this you ask? My FIL owns one that was actually from that old plant and they did an Edsel car show there a few years ago. He and my MIL drove down from Northern Maine to participate in it.
I'm trying really hard not to like it because it adds an extra stop to my commute. But, it's really nice. I remember the days of the assembly square mall. And Goodtimes! That place was the best

God I miss Goodtimes. The drug dealers in the parking lot. The trashed parents inside. The fights that always broke out. And how they never ever fixed a video game machine that broke. But we loved that place.
OMG, this thread inspired me to go see the old Good Times yelp reviews, and now I'm laughing so hard I'm crying. If you need a laugh, go take a look. Here are a few gems:
"Don't get bummed when seeing babies walking around by themselves at 2am. These babies are hardcore, and will probably cut you. No one steals knife wielding babies high off pepsi at 2am."
"If you don't play your cards right, you're going to get stabbed here. Yes, friends, Good Times may well be the location of your first knife assault."
Oh I just remembered our last good times outing! We collected a bajillion tickets and spent them all on hundreds of little army men. H then proceeded to put them all over his bosses office over several months. He'd just place some every few days or so. Eventually the dude had a filing drawer full of army men and was complaining how he never knew who the hell was doing this to him.

Well played D, well played. DH found his old army men in the basement a few months ago and set some up on a couple of our window sills. I just left them there. I think its kind of funny and it makes me smile when I walk past them.
And you're right. I can;t stop reading the yelp reviews

I'm not sure if this had been mentioned, there's a cute little kids park behind it. By the river. I don't recommend going to the KMart there though. The Christmas Tree Store is pretty big.
Sorry it took me so long to come back to this thread - I have been working non-stop. Thanks for the post-visit review! Those Yelp reviews are hilarious/scary.
