Looking at this thread, I am cheap. I like Carter's, Child of Mine, Jumping Beans, The Children's Place, Gymbo (which for us, is a splurge) and the Gap (just for DS).

Gymbo is a splurge for me too. All the gymbo I have is second hand from thrift or garage sales and eBay.
I really like the kid's girls line at Macy's. Osh Kosh is great for DS. Little Me and Cuddle Bear for DS (no monkeys or whales...lol) at Herbergers/Amazon. If I'm in the mood Walmart has great sleepers for DS.

my kid wears 95% Carters. And the off shoots - Child of Mine and Just One You by Carters. We have some jumping beans, CP, Crazy 8, osh kosh, circo, geranimals, HA jammies.
C wears a lot of Carters stuff, because that seems to be the most readily available. Most of it is pretty cute. We also like Gap, Old Navy, Gymboree sometimes....and J&J, Tommy Hilfiger, and CrewCuts when our local outlet is having a sale! We also rarely pay full price for any kids clothes, though so far it's all been new, or gifts. We don't really know anyone who can give hand-me-downs.
I'd say 90% of DS' clothes are Carter's. He's a big baby and has outgrown every damn thing so fast that I refuse to spend too much right now. Also, he's a poop and drool machine right now, so we go through an average of 3 outfits a day. When he needs more clothes I usually go to the resale shop nearby and buy him a bag of stuff for under $20.
Once he's bigger and in the same size a little longer I think we'll buy a lot of Gap and Ralph Lauren. I'm a sucker for a preppy little polo shirt on a toddler! I will, of course, still buy a lot of stuff from our resale shop and go out of my way to score killer deals at regular stores, as well. I don't buy full price clothes for me, no way am I doing it for my kid!
