It's my birthday month -- so it's ALL ABOUT ME. Or something like that.
H&F... - work a little training back into my life, mostly strength + stretch - start running again, but not until the 2nd week - be ready for a slow 50K come Nov 1st - run a 5K with my roommate, because she wants to run one! - send out #runabler/thank you gift boxes to awesome friends
Non-H&F... - budget my effing money [where did it all go?! oh, right, food...] - officially file for divorce [yup, it's on the list, been putting it off for 2 months...amicable breakups are HARD] - book flights + other stuff for a trip to the PNW in November

get my stitches out :/
maybe, maybe, maybe but probably not, do another cross race at the end of the month. But that would mean getting an actual cross bike and not being scared. Plus it's not just a fun warm up race, it's one in the texas cup series so I couldn't just go out and dick around.
and hubs and I have come up with a six month reclaim my body from having a baby and being freaking in recovery of some sort or the other for two years plan. it sucks massive donkey balls and it's not fun or exciting but it needs to be done. and it starts this month.

I have my second half on Sunday and I would like to beat my time from my first half, even if it's just by a little. I would like to lose a few pounds but I have been saying that for a while. I want to sign up for more races to stay motivated.
This is amazing! You have to post a recap when you are back. I really want to take the kids in a year or two- you'll have to let me know if it's something little guys could do
I definitely will. Â How old will yours be? Â I'll keep my eye out on the trail to see if I see any kids of similar age when we are there!Â
The youngest would be a min of 5 or 6 . We introduced the little one (3 now) to trail hiking this summer and we were hoping to 'train' them to be able to do longer trips over the next couple of years.
Fitness-wise: My goal is to go to my boot camp all of the MWF in the month of October. I know this may be a lame goal but with it getting cooler in the morning, I just want to stay in bed.
Food-wise: limit my after dinner snacking instead of every night, try for 2-3 nights a week.
1. Stop eating All.THE.JUNK.FOOD! 2. PR at my half on 10/26 - long shot 3. Complete 15 mile training run - I've never run more than 13.1, so my next 2 weeks will be distance records for me 4. Don't slack on my mid-week runs
bullygirl979 - We're flying into KTM and spending a few days there, then hiking the Annapurna Circuit (a nice chunk of it anyway). After that we're heading to China for 10 days. Can't wait!

1) Focus on making good food choices on weekdays, at least 2) Crossfit 4 days/week 3) In honor of my decision to start running more, a 10 min mile. Not a lofty goal for others, but a good one for me!
Recover from having mono and get back in shape. Start orange theory on the tenth and the last week of October I am going to attempt a training plan for a marathon.

Nice!! I did the Base Camp trek. I loved Kathmandu! I'll be interested to hear your thoughts on the trek and on the city
blndsnbrdr -- that's a serious list for the month. GL girl. I just gotta say... A 50K in one month? Are you sure this is a good idea?
For me: I'd really like a half marathon PR in October. If I don't get that, I'd like a 5K PR. If I don't get that, I'd like some serious motivation to train harder.

It might not be the best idea, but a friend is doing it as her first and really wants someone to run/hike with her.
We have 14 hours to go 31 miles so we'll be moving slowly and I have a free entry so I have no money forcing me to continue if my body gets upset with me. I'll take it easy, I promise!
I have insulin resistance, my gyn. suspects I have PCOS also, and I'm convinced I have a candida overgrowth in my gut. That said, I want to cut out processed foods, carbs/sugars as much as possible (30 carbs/day limit). I also want to exercise 3x per week and practice some type of meditative activity 1x/day.

Okay; this sounds reasonable. Way to be a good friend, too!
Stop eating like crap. I mess up when it comes to snacking. Instead of choosing healthy options I always gravitate toward the chocolate. This week I stocked up on grapes and have been using those as my go-to snack. It's been working so far! Also, I'd like to improve my cardio. I sucked butt in my CF class yesterday. My cardio is so crappy.
Run more than August and September. Shouldn't be hard, I ran less than 30 miles for both months :/
I also started a 5K program on my Nike Run app that has me incorporating fartleks in my runs twice a week. I want to shave at least a minute off my current 5K time before our schools annual 5K this spring. I'm really enjoying it so far!
After a doc visit this morning, I realized I am back up to the weight I don't want to be. Most of the 30 lbs I lost is back and I am not happy. So for October my goal is to get back to basics, MFP tracking and three weekly runs even if short. I hope to get 50 miles in this month which doesn't seem like much but still adjusting to all the new schedules with the kids, I am going to try to make it work somehow.

Get through my half Stop stress eating. It's happening again in the last couple of weeks, and I don't want to derail the good stuff I have been doing Get to classes at the gym more once my half is done Do more speed work so I don't completely embarrass myself at a 10K in November
