After digging in my heels and refusing to buy leggings for ages...I bought a pair of Matty M leggings at Costco today. And I've come to the realization that nude heels will go better with the dress I'm wearing to my cousins wedding in two weeks (another thing I've been resistant to). What is WRONG with me?!
C was especially adorable tonight. He is just a huge ball of energy and I love it. Also, he blew raspberries on my cleavage while I was trying to get him ready for bed. Lmao.
Snuggling with the kids, watching a movie. As soon as they go to bed I'm either having a lemon drop martini or some Ben & Jerry's ice cream. Probably the ice cream.
I love my nude heels osulori and wore them to all the wedding this year, I'm wearing them in my Facebook profile pic. If you haven't bought any yet, try Nordstrom Rack! Via Spiga are incredible comfortable. I bought a few pairs of legging last year and never wore them out of the house. Maybe this year lol.
We met some old neighbors out for ice cream all impromptu and it was wonderful. The kids are all asleep and DH is packing, he'll be OOT all week .
We spent all day out and about. We went apple picking, to the pumpkin field, and to this local artesian spring for waters. Then we went swimming at the in-laws for the afternoon. We had a great day together, but now I'm going to be up until midnight doing work that I should have stayed home and worked on. I'm really starting to notice how much I suck at time management recently!

You guys know everything…where the HELL can I get PLAIN OLD SOLID COLOUR tops for babies…not a onesie…just a tshirt, long or short sleeve. No graphic on it, nothing, just plain.
I finally got my period! Glad my uterus finally got it together!
My parents had N last night and took him to the cider mill AND the zoo today. DH & I worked our asses off cleaning up the backyard and the house. And then I made lunches for the week + premade tomorrows dinner so I can just throw it in the oven when I get home. I'm hoping I can muster up the energy for a run in the morning!

DD auditioned for the Wizard of Oz ballet at her dance school. She kept going back and forth, but finally decided not to do it. Part of me is relieved to not have Sunday afternoons tied up for the next 4 months, but part of me is sad she won't be in it.
holly116 the dress you're wearing in that pic is a similar color to the dress I'm wearing for my cousins wedding, its what convinced me that nude heels really will go better with my dress than black.

Had a very productive day! Date night last night for sushi and The Boxtrolls (it was good/cute!) so my mom watched DD. She stayed over and hung out a bit this morning. Together we made tomatillo chili base, roasted and chopped poblanos, parboiled and froze a bunch of corn, and made roasted okra, all before 9:30! Then I made two loaves of banana peanut butter bread. When DD for up from her nap, we did our monthly TJ run to restock on freezer food, chicken and to buy some pumpkin stuff.
Poor DD had a rough day though. She's been on two naps a day for many months, but missed her AM nap. She just wouldn't fall asleep. She had pooped, so I changed her, but by the time I realized it, I think we missed the window. She was in bed by 6:30 and out by 6:32, lol.
10.5 hours later and H is still on that eff'n conference call. I'm getting a house deep cleaning service out if it, so YAY! I know that is lame, but he asked what he could do to say thanks for doing all the child care today while I'm tired as hell and I picked that!
OMG he was on a conference call all day?! I would die. Yay for the cleaning service though!!

I'm still kind of in limbo. I am 97% sure I cannot be knocked up but im not on birth control so anything is possible? I spotted a tiny bit yesterday and that was it. but now I feel all sad-Like a June baby would be awesome and I'm so ready for another one!

Are you getting a cold? I get super smelling abilities a couple of days before a cold.
Bas has a onesie with white and blue stripes. H and I are debating dressing him up as a little baby Frenchman for Halloween. Awful? OK?
CULTURAL APPROPRIATION IS BAD, @vicmo.
LOL.
DD and I had such an awesome weekend. Sometimes I feel like I am a terrible mom since I don't have a ton of patience and I try to keep her busy while I get chores done, but this weekend since I was on my own I made a conscious decision to put her first. As a result my kitchen is a disaster and I still have to put laundry in the dryer, but we had a great 2 days, so fuck it.

I was about to give you links to a bunch, but then I realized they really are impossible to find for babies as young as yours!! Once you get into the toddler sizes they're a lot easier to find. Old Navy has a bunch starting in size 12 to 18 months. And Target usually has plain shirts -- in the baby/toddler clothing section on the display cases that have folded stuff at the bottom and stuff hanging on top. Those might actually start at size 9 months, or even smaller.

I am sitting here playing online instead of cleaning the kitchen and packing DD1's lunch for tomorrow.
We're looking for a cheap sectional for our family room, and we can't find anything we like. We're both picky, but about different things. So, I'll compromise on size or comfort (somewhat), but not appearance. DH is apparently willing to buy the ugliest couch ever so long as it fits in our space. Ug. I'm willing to wait until we can find the right thing, but DH is itching to buy something immediately because we're FINALLY DONE with construction on that room, and we're both anxious to start using it again after 3 long months!

I pulled out my Kindle again so I can start reading at night. The Goldfinch was my last book and it sucked the life out of me (and I couldn't even finish). I am excited to get back into reading, yet here I am on GBCN

we pay our 13yo nephew to mow our lawn and today he asked if i would bake him a homemade apple pie instead of paying him this week. LOL sure thing kiddo, i love to bake!
I am making chicken soup, 1 ingredient at a time. So far I have cut the onion, and washed the celery. Taking a mini-dinner and GBCN break before I return to cut the celery and prepare the carrots.
DD fell asleep at 8:30 pm. We took her to the beach for the first time today just to take a quick walk onto the sand and to take some pictures. She looked very puzzled the whole time. I stood her up on the beach and she hated the feeling of sand on her feet, wet or dry. The water was too cold to dip her feet in it so we skipped that. After the sand incident, she got pissed and we said bye bye to ocean, see you next year when DD might be more amenable to enjoying it.
