When I was trying to identify what I thought was a brown recluse in my backyard (thank god it wasn't), I learned that there are forums dedicated to bug and spider people where you can post and they'll ID. I never ended up using one but if I had a spider like that, I'd ask the pros.
HOLY SHIT. I must confess that I usually make fun of all you "ewww a bug" people (looking right atcha charlielove). But that is....not a bug. That is a mutant sent from another dimension.
That lovely lady eats many of the icky tiny creepy bugs though. Do they bite humans?

The friend who told me it's alleged name said he was harmless. Actually I am pretty sure he's a she because I read that they are much larger. I think they like grass and leaves, and stay in nature areas, so I'm telling myself they would never find their way inside...

AS far as I know, orb weavers don't bite people. I mean, they might, but I've had a lot get on me, from walking through their webs, and I've never been bitten.
