Oh, and I tried Little Caesar's pretzel crust pizza on Saturday.
WAS THE PIZZA GOOD?!
I had a busy weekend. Lots of wedding stuff for my sister's wedding.
Then we had people over on Saturday and I drank more than I ever have and hubby had to put me to bed. Waterfalls are rough when there are 8 people and you're last. Ugh.
Sunday I was hung over as fuck and had to go to a bridal shower. Thank god for mimosas.
This morning was bad. I need this week to be over.

Oh my god I hear you Mils. Too short and not enough sleep. We've been so busy too between work and family/friends, although H has a day off today and I'm so jealous.
Glad to hear your dessert was delicious. I'm drooling. I can only do GF/DF also, and I think sometimes folks are surprised by how decent the alternatives can be. It doesn't have to taste terrible. Still, some things can't quite be replaced...
H made ribs on Saturday (had a friend over) and I had my first glass of wine in two years! It was WONDERFUL, and it didn't set off any tummy troubles which I was really quite afraid of. YAAAY! I missed wine.

pantaloons55 - glad to hear you can enjoy some wine! That's awesome news!
Friday I had a massage in the morning and then went out to meet my mom and aunt for lunch at one of mom's favorite places. Went back to my parents house afterward to chit-chat and then went home to relax in the evening.
Saturday I did some house cleaning, picked up some necessities at the grocery store and watched football pretty much most of the day. My team won, so I was quite happy!
Sunday we had a friend over to watch the Texans game, I worked on a slow cooked barbacoa dish and my parents and baby brother came over for that, plus some birthday cake. (Mom's birthday is tomorrow, we were doing a little early dinner for her.)

Doesn't matter if it's my usual one day weekend, or my rare three day weekend.. It is NEVER long enough!
I worked Saturday, so not a whole lot of fun stuff, but we did get a new manager and I like him. He's an artsy hipster like me, so I enjoyed talking to him while we worked.
Yesterday we drove the couple hours out to the in laws, and spent the day with family. Good food and dessert, and it's always nice to see them. I did try my new medication yesterday to see how my body would react, and thankfully it went okay and the day went fine.
Highlight of the weekend - our rooftop class yesterday! It was an unseasonably warm day (nearly 80!) and everyone had a blast! The cops were called by a cranky neighbor, but the cops said we were all good, so ha, ha!

I saw your pictures and it looked like a gorgeous day! I'm glad it went so well!

How fun!!
What was their reason for calling the cops? Glad the cops were cool about it!
From his scathing voicemail, I am assuming he is a cranky old dude that didn't like our music. It was within the legal limit and the class ended in 60 minutes (at noon). The cops must have just come to appease him.
Whew, I'm dragging today. The wedding was really fun (the timing WAS weird-- the ceremony was really short and then we had 2 hours to kill, but luckily one of my friends lives really close to the venue so we drank and hung out there before the reception). Had fun hanging out at my parents' yesterday, but then our drive home sucked. We took the classic car-- the battery light was on (as per usual) but it drove fine on the way there. On the way home the battery totally died, so we had to walk 2 miles to an AutoZone for a new battery and then put it in. Then it died again 50 miles later. Had to tow the car 100ish miles home (THANK GLOB FOR AAA! It was free.) Must be the alternator!

I think the cost of GF/DF apple crisp was the most depressing thing for me, lol but the ice cream was worth it. I generally eat frozen yogurt because ice cream doesn't get along with my stomach.
And I am equally jealous of your H having the day off.
YAY WINE!
Yes the cost is horrific. My grocery bills are painful. Feel sorry for us allergic folks Weird that you can handle milk but not cream. Thank goodness for that at least!

Oh man! I am glad it was only 2 miles to the nearest store!

I had such a fun weekend.
We woke up early and went to the State Fair Saturday. We spent 11 hours there, not including the 3 hour roundtrip commute. Holy hell was I tired Sunday, but we had SO much fun. I still can't believe we lasted 11 hours. I drank so much I looked at Jay the next day and said, "This body should not be able to handle that many beers!" He even said he was a little amazed at my tolerance level. I think I had 5 24oz Bluemoons and 1 20oz mic ultra. That's like 12 cans of beer. But I guess at the rate of 1 of an hour isn't s bad, right?
Sunday we just went to the grocery store and then enjoyed the beautiful weather on the deck grilling out.
Here is a picture of me with a massive loaded potato and another of a butter cow. Who wouldn't want to see a butter cow!? LOL
I had a great weekend! Friday night went out with my friend in our neighborhood, had a few beers and dinner (2 rounds comped since a belligerent A-hole who was having his toddler pop balloons right next to us decided to flip out on my friend after she asked him to take it outside). Then we bought wine and went back to my place. Her bf came when he got home from work, and they left around 2am.
Saturday I did chores and errands and met up with some other friends for dinner. There was a 2 hr wait, so we ended up having drinks at a couple of new-to-us bars nearby. We had a great time and the food was worth the wait!
Sunday I did laundry and made Sicilian pizza from scratch. I needed a day alone, and it was perfect (except I ate so much pizza I felt like I was gonna die, lol).
