I, in general, have a fear of deep water, so maybe that's why this is making me freaked out and weak in the knees. I know this is nothing compared to the depth of, say, the ocean or what not. But just looking down into that hole where you can't see the bottom gives me sweaty palms.
*There is a video at the link that takes you down into the pool.
The fact that it's not just ONE big hole makes it a LITTLE more tolerable. Having the different levels helps. BUT. Still. wigs me out.
Lol, I just said the opposite:)
Ok. That's funny! For me - knowing that I could go and get in and be "safe" at one end and could basically ignore the big hole at the other works for me.

I would love to dive in this - I love deep water and swimming but I absolutely hate the ocean (jellyfish) and most fresh water (need to see my feet). Pools are great but not that deep. Except for this one: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Alfonso_del_Mar - Looks like heaven.
So this deep ass pool would be perfect for me, lol. No jellyfish or rotten logs.
I think it's cool! I don't scuba dive but I would totally try to swim as far down as I could on my own. H and I are actually going to be right near Padua in a few weeks...lol.
