This is not mine! Someone posted it on page 19 or 20. lol

I had to explain this to my friend at socccer when she asked what I was so engrossed in reading. It went something like this:
There's this person from the internet who is getting a divorce but isn't divorced yet. She met a boy at the beginning of the summer and then found herself knocked up despite doublebagging it just in case. She told her German stud and said she was willing to do it on her own but wanted him to be involved if he wanted to. He was happy and then he wasn't so she was all sad that he kicked her out of bed in the middle of the night. But then! He called out of the blue and invited her over and his mom was there and she was happy and he was happy and everyone was SO SO HAPPY. Then her doctor said "Not so fast there! Your body is totally trying to hang onto a non viable pregnancy. I know this even though I haven't done an ultrasound and have no real medical basis for saying this!" And then the rest of the people on the internet collectively called bullshit. The end.
And she said "Is this the same person with the dog stealing mother?"
Ha! The sad thing is I knew most of this and didn't read past p2 on the most recent thread. I thought maybe we got confirmation of something shady, or something else shady came out

There are strong suspicions that MB is a catfish. Or that she's not a catfish but is faking a pregnancy for the sake of being an AW. At least, that was what was going on a few hours ago.

Did she really say she used two condoms? That's like, Sex Ed 101 where they tell you that's a no-no. Make that Sex Ed -101. I think she's a faking faker who fakes so she could have come up with a better oops story than that.

I think there was a post linked from a few months ago where she said, "Something's in the water here! I'm double-bagging it! and using spermicide! and bcp!" (I did not take that as literally using 2 condoms, LOL.)
Summary: There is not enough going on with my lyfe because of my (insert FWP here) so I have to bitch and moan about it. There will be another ML drama in 2 weeks tops.

I think she's another ottermama - real but a lot of her stories are exaggerated or fake. I admit to raising an eyebrow when she announced her surprise BFP, but getting burned by JLM has made me forever cynical of posters with a lot of drama.
Why does ML keep getting trolled? It's weird as hell.
bc they like it? I swear it's like a game. See how much craziness they'll accept until their bullshit radar starts going off. And they accept a lot of crazy. Stretch marks from a blow job? I mean come on now. But it's more fun to play along for a while than to imnediately sound the alarm. I don't blame them for that.
There was also a multiple-page break to discuss sounders/sour patch's ridiculousness.
NO. NO VAGUE POSTING.
imma be pissed if sounders made up her dh drama. I was like legit invested in her story. SPILL.
Since she's gone, I can say this now. I wasn't 100% convinced her pregnancy/miscarriage before this one was real. I can't remember specifics, but her storyline closely followed MP's. And from my history of posting with her on TK she was a drama llama that needed attention.
But it also wouldn't be the first time I've been called an asshole in re: to sounders/sourpatch/ciara/whateverthehellsshe'sgoneby (hot)
There was something sketchy about her pg. since she first started posting about it. I thought it was that she actually got pg. on purpose and was trying to hide that from everyone. It's weird that she'd make the whole thing up. She's not a new poster and I don't see what a long time regular would get out of catfishing people.
Yeah no I don't think so for ML catfishing at least. They have put in a helluva lot of time to developing these personas. It'd be a pretty pitiful ROI in all but a tiny handful of cases. I really don't think it's got anything to do with money.
It's not just ML that has trolls or at least posters who are lying liars.
Agreed. I'm sure there are posters on other boards that aren't all they say they are. ML seems to get more because we are an active board with a wide variety of posters and we've been burned by some long time regulars.

ML has the most traffic of any board here so it makes sense that they'd get a lot of the crazies too.
I just think it's hilarious that ML gets the crazies who were/are regulars and CEP gets the crazies that came from outside GBCN who were Google-alerted that we were talking about their blog posts.

Can I clarify - did MB have an initial ultrasound, or was it all blood work? The sense of non-urgency about getting an ultrasound now is nothing short of bizarre.
I admit I mostly skimmed her latest posts, because I got annoyed every time I read "the boy" because the song "Let's Hear it for the Boy" would play in my head.

"The German" is even worse. I shudder to think of calling DH here "the Irish-Swede."
Last week, she posted about an ultrasound that showed only the yolk and fetal pole (I think) when based on her LMP, she should have been able to hear a heartbeat. So the doctor decided to do repeat betas. This didn't seem very likely, especially that her numbers were in a normal range and the doctor said "It doesn't look like a good pregnancy" which is what I believe first caused doubt. Or at least out loud doubt.
Do dr.s usually do repeat betas at that point? Wouldn't they just order a follow up ultrasound to be done the next week? Something similar happened to me in my first pg. but I never had any blood work taken.
I had this happen with dd at 6w3d. I had two previous betas at 3/4 weeks and he ordered another beta and an u/s a week later. I was told that the chances weren't good since I was going through fertility treatments and knew the exact date.
I feel the more dramatic your story is, the more vouching is needed for me to believe you. rikki comes to mind. I definitely believe her story but likely wouldn't if she didn't have so much integration with others off boards.

I will say that my first ob did this same exact protocol for my first miscarriage.
My first pregnancy ended up being a blighted ovum and my doctor followed this protocol. I went in at 7 weeks and only an empty sac appeared on the ultrasound. I was charting, so I was sure of my dates. My doctor ordered betas and said to come back in a week because either I wasn't as far along as I thought, or it wasn't a good pregnancy.
