I was just talking with H, and I'm surprised the hospital we work at hasn't started talking about it. I asked H if he knew what to do with an Ebola patient, he said yeah, run the other direction. Helpful.
LOL. Note to self. Do not consult Dr. Mofongo in a deadly outbreak situation.

I've added this to my top 20 list of things to worry about. It bumped off getting hit in the head with a tire while driving in a convertible. Now that it's cold out I feel safe deleting that one for a while.
I do understand it wouldn't be rational to force people to stay in their current location or ban them from coming home, but shouldn't there be some kind of protocol in place for people traveling from areas with Ebola? Like, it seems kind of crazy to me that this guy was in Liberia, got on a plane, sat on a giant aircraft with a bunch of people, walked through a very busy airport, and then was diagnosed with this. How many people could have been infected during this time?
I'm probably in conspiracy mode here, but I just think it's weird that we're so lax about people traveling here from countries with known disease outbreaks like this.
Yeah, I saw this on the news tonight . As is often the case, the right hand didn't know what the left one was doing at that hospital.
My Mom was trying to blame the nurse and I pointed out that the damn Doctor obviously didn't READ THE CHART and she's only in doing her job and then moving on. Sorry, but the Doctor should have been more on top of it.

What I read said it isn't contagious until someone is experiencing symptoms. I think the fail in what happened is him being sent home with antibiotics.
