i'm not even looking at ML because i'll get sucked in.
i do lurk there enough when i saw the recap on MMM earlier i was not surprised. i guessed that outcome from the first post about the pregnancy. ... and that's all i've got.
yes we are watching. We live in KC but really don't GAF about football, we are hardcore baseball fans though and will be going nuts for the Royals wildcard game tomorrow night!
I've been off work the last 5 days and am sad to be going back tomorrow. I won't have a stretch of days off like this again for quite some time since I start my new job next week. My kid is at a fun age right now and I kind of do with I was a SAHM but at the same time I loves the money

Also, I feel like the worst dog mom in the whole damn world. Our dog has never been super well behaved. He pulls SO hard out on walks when other dogs are around. It is obnoxious and embarrassing. Neighbors are scared of him because he will yank me toward them and bark and throw a general fit. He honestly just loves other dogs and wants to sniff them, but is much too aggressive.
Anyways, tonight I had to knee him in the ribs HARD while outside because I had DS with and we were walking in the street. The dog started pulling me away from DS (there was no traffic, but still) and was acting so terrible. I was doing everything I could to get him to stop, while this woman was literally looking terrified.
We didn't train him well 3 years ago and it is obvious. He needs more attention, more exercise, etc. All i do is yell at him, it seems.

i thought of you when i saw the royals made the playoffs! i hope they do well! it's a good night to be in Kansas City though! all the hype coming off this football game going into baseball tomorrow.
Oh no niq! I hope he gets better soon. DS has breathing problems every time he gets sick, finally the pedi prescribed a nebulizer and it helps IMMENSELY.
DD woke up at 7 am and went to sleep at 9:30 pm. Napped 30 min, 50 min, 10 min. Ball of smiley, belly crawling and now climbing energy all day.
HOW???
It is also so hard to get her to eat and drink more during the daytime so she doesn't stay up so late and sleeps more at night. I have been going to sleep with 2 bottles next to my bed with the #2 bottle being there just in case. We seem to be busting into the #2 bottle more often than I'd like.

DS took a late nap and then was wide awake from 9:00-10:45. He played in bed with DH and then I finally turned off the lights and tried to soothe him to sleep. I put him in the crib and then went to get ready for bed. He screamed and cried and then all of the sudden it stopped. He moved to a corner of the crib not visible on the monitor and DH freaked out a bit. We went in to check on him and he is out. I rearranged him to the middle of the crib, and he's still sound asleep. Fingers crossed tonight is better than last night!

My mom and I finished painting the boys new room tonight. DH had school so we had the kids with us. They played so well together and just had tons of fun running around and playing in a mostly empty house. We only got interrupted from painting a couple times.
They boys picked green and blue for their new shared room. DH is kinda bitter that it's Seahawks colors, lol. Oh well, there will be plenty of SF Giants and Niners gear on the walls to combat the enemy colors.
We're back and he's headed to bed. Tylenol just took longer than usual to kick in. He's still not feeling great with no obvious signs of infection, so if he stays sick for more than another day we'll test for a UTI. But knock on wood he's just magically better tomorrow or Wednesday.

Kids are both sleeping, but my dog had a seizure. It happens every couple months. The vet said it was a beagle thing.
I used to be up immediately when he had one, but tonight it didn't click right away, and I was all like, "why is the dog playing ball in the middle of the night?"
It's going to be one of those nights. Wake up #2 already.
And apparently I'm considering being one of those people. A friend posted pics of her child's nursery on FB and there was a giant bumper on the crib. Do I say something? Keep my trap shut? She's about to be a FTM but since she has a handful of nieces and nephews she is under the impression that she knows everything already. Conversations have been a little painful recently. It makes me sad that we're both new parents but are so drastically different when it comes to style (already!) that it might drive a huge wedge between us. So far I've bit my tongue because I know the newborn experience will humble her, but the safety issue has me rethinking my stance.

bowies I'd probably day something to her like this: the nursery is so cute. I hate how all the sets come with bumpers, but you can't actually use them when the baby arrives due to suffocation. You were smart to get a picture of everything together and looking nice before you have to pack them away.
bowies I wouldn't say anything. For all you know, she has it set up for the picture only.
This. Or the baby will be in their room for awhile and won't even be in the crib for months.. Or she has weighed the risks/recommendations and chosen to use the bumpers anyway.
I'm not asking this to be snarky, but as an honest question. If someone weighs the safety risks and recommendations, why would they choose to use the bumpers anyway?

I fell asleep, in my clothes, waiting for the ice cream truck. Since I wasn't planning on going to bed the gate was open, so Ada was able to come to our room without waking anyone up and M slept through. Most sleep I have had in a long time.

No idea, I personally wouldn't use them.
okay, just wanted to be sure I wasn't missing something that was common knowledge here! I am a little crazy about sleep safety.
