Um, I packed K a jelly sandwich, mini corn dogs, and some apples today. His lunch normally consists of a piece of lunch meat, some shredded cheese, and a banana. His teachers never make comments to me about his lunch. I'd say you're good.
We are out of peanut butter aka the only thing Xavier eats. I really do not want to pack up the kids to go to the store right now, I packed him greek yogurt, cheerios, cheese stick, banana and goldfish crackers. Tell me this is ok for one day and his teacher won't make a passive aggressive statement as to the nutrition of his meal.
I think that's a great lunch!
(And I'm a goldfish hater. But you've got protein, fat, and fruit. I'd send something like this frequently.)
Nothing. Feed your child. And fuck whomever said that was too much. I'm in the same position - I send a ton of food b/c DD is gone 730-6 every day. Rarely does she come home with food not 100% gone.
That is really close to DD1's normal lunch. She usually has an apple or peach vs. a banana, but same food group. She is allergic to PB and won't eat sandwiches, so Greek yogurt and/or cheese it is.
