So what is the deal with these two? Do you think he finally found love after all these years?
He wants to go into politics eventually and needs a wife to do so. She is obviously smart and gorgeous and will probably make a good political wife. She seems discrete. Beyond that, idk. I don't think he is gay. I think he's just not into life long monogamy.
I agree. I think he wanted to find someone that would fit his aspirations. His previous girlfriends were all models/actresses. She is smart and has a good head on her shoulders. I do think it is possible he finally settled down, but we won't know until they stand the test of time. Some people take a long time to be ready to get married. (Warren Beatty)
Lord, her legs in that shorter dress with the flowers, I can't even dream about having legs like that. I feel a bit anti-feminist commenting on her legs, but they are amazing.
I love it. She looks really happy-I have kind of been on the this is a marriage of convenience train but after seeing that I might have changed my mind!
I'm still on that train, lol. I don't doubt he enjoys her but it reads far more political consultant than Cupid's arrow to me. But I'm a DC cynic.

Man she is stunning. I don't love the off the shoulder neckline on the dress but other than that I think it's fabulous. My favorite is the pantsuit she wore to the civil ceremony, so elegant. It seems a little unfair to the rest of the world that she's that beautiful and also crazy brilliant.
I always assume celebrities will be divorced in under 5 years so then I'm pleasantly surprised if they stay married.
I'm glad to see more celebrities wearing non-strapless dresses again. For awhile, it was so hard to find anything that wasn't strapless. It's not a look that flatters everyone, so hopefully as stars start wearing straps, the trend will filter down to more bridal stores.
THIS. I wish I would have gotten something with straps.
And what is with everyone getting married in Italy?!
(Says the girl celebrating her 3 year anniversary of our civil ceremony in Bologna today. But DH is Italian and most of our guests live in Italy. Not the case for Tom Cruise, Brangelina, Clooney, etc).
True it is a trend, but it is known that Clooney loves Italy, he has owned a place in Lake Como for years. So it 's pretty fitting for him.
It's a pretty gown, I love it. I was a little surprised because I guess I assumed she would pick something more avant garde or something, but I kind of love her more for not going overboard.
She seems really comfortable with herself, and I dig that. He totally married up, she's a genius in my book.

I think he's infatuated, she wanted to get married, and he will get bored in a few years. /cynic
I also don't love the dress. There's something very early-90s about it that rubs me the wrong way.
I do really like her though.
Agree with this. That off the shoulder style is what I loved in in my teens (early 90s). I think it looks good on her but I wasn't really blown away by the wedding dress.
Loved the white pant suit + hat and the red dress.
