Really? You're just that consistently dumb throughout this thread? That's the story you're going with?
I literally just hopped back online to this exploded thread. That hardly constitutes "throughout this thread." What would like me to say? "Yes, I have an ulterior motive for using the improper pronoun! Muahaha!" And then have lightening flash behind me?
I'm lolling at how far you guys are reading into this.

I can kind of picture you being the Mandark type.
Smartly stupid. Doesn't know when to quit. Awful evil laugh. Yeah.

Look, I'll break down real simple like for ya (y'all, all y'all, them, whatever).
Did you intentionally use they? Or do you honestly not know how pronouns work?
I use they when referring to most people. I honestly didn't realize that was improper and have always been told using "they" is a-ok.
"They" is fine in an ambiguous sense where you don't know about the subject of which you speak, but when you know the gender of your subject it is more correct to use the proper gender specific pronoun.

I used "they" once when referncing my unborn baby, who I knew nothing about, sex or otherwise, to old coworkers. Then had to break the news to a group of squealing women that no, I was not having twins.

Only if the subject is plural. If it's singular, use he. Or she. Or he/she. But singular subjects shouldn't get a plural pronoun.
Not necessarily. I thought you might be right, after all I wasn't an English major by far, so I looked it up.
