what to do about it?
My tongue started hurting on Friday. The pain is located in one spot and is constant, though it gets worse through the day when I've been talking and eating. There is no visible abrasion, and I know I didn't bite it. I can't even put my finger on it and make it hurt more.

Does it feel sore? I had something similar happen to me. It was in the very middle of my tongue. No visible wound or anything. It hurt for about a week and then it just went away.

Yes. It's on the side, though, angelaa73. God, it kills. KILLS!

Trust me, I know! I started getting worried that I had tongue cancer or something because it was the most unexplainable thing. Mine only lasted about a week, so hopefully you will be over it soon.

I managed to convince myself this morning that I definitely have tongue cancer.
Get yourself a bottle of Peroxyl (mouthwash, in the toothpaste aisle) and use that consistently for a couple days. It heals all of my mouth weirdness/random pain no matter what it is. LOL
