This brings crazy to a whole new level of efficiency.
i wonder what she does for work..bc she has spent a LOT of time today playing on GBCN. all day, really. and she actually reads every response, quotes, and responds to them.
oh and i came up with a way we can attract springs1 here if she doesn't come here on her own. somebody send her a PM with a link to this post. i want her to visit, but i don't want to attract the masses.
(1) I <3 this board (2) the only opening ceremonies I watched were the Atlanta olympics since I lived there. (3) I'm sorry I wrote her name but so far we are in the clear. (4) did I mention I <3 this board?
He was waiting longer than she was so that's fair.
NO it wasn't fair, because he came out of a line, so he had no more space in line, understand? It's unfair to think you can leave a line and then magically go into another line to be first if you don't make it first there IDIOT.
You can't just leave a line and expect anything you waited in another line to matter you STUPID ASS IDIOT!!

calling someone an idiot because they don't agree with you is just childish.
if the cashier motioned to him, then he gets dibs.
HOW, the cashier isn't the boss, WTF ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? I have refused to move before at Walmart, because some cashiers are JERKS that question every freakin ad with a CSM, it takes like 20 minutes to check out like that, I don't go to them. That means I *CHOSE* NOT to go.
The cashier motioning him over means NOTHING. That cashier is NOT the boss of the customer and the customer has a *CHOICE* to move or not move. If you choose to move, you take that chance you won't be first, because you MOVED LINES.
These aren't one big line like the customer service area where they say "Who's next", this is SEPARATE lines. The cashier telling him to go doesn't mean he had to go. We all take SELF RESPONSIBILITY when we do things in life. If the cashier told him "Get a gun out", would the customer?, Seriously, no one MAKES someone leave the line but THEM OWN SELVES!!
The customer moved, that's the chance you take when you move. He reclaimed his spot in the other line, second. It's FAIR, it sure the hell is. The cashier motioning him to go doesn't make him first, because it's another line and once you MOVE, YOUR time you waited in that other line is GONE, it means NOTHING to the new line, NOTHING.
It would be just like if the cashier didn't call him over and he decided to move. It's a ************PERSONAL CHOICE*********** TO MOVE!!
calling someone an idiot because they don't agree with you is just childish.
What's childish is making a fight about who is first when I clearly got there first without pushing or shoving. The CASHIER was the only person that was childish. He should have just checked me out without saying a word. He had NO RIGHT to accuse me of cutting when I didn't. I wasn't in a line, the guy left another line by ***************PERSONAL CHOICE***************** since the cashier didn't have a gun to his head making him leave the other line, plus he did reclaim his spot he had in the other line anyway, not that really matters, just saying.
You leave a line for ANY reason, you don't get to just magically be first in a another line if you don't make it there first IDIOT. I don't care WHO the FUCK calls you over, you are responsible for *YOUR* actions of leaving a line.
1. what are your hobbies? do you play any sports? insturments? 2. do you watch tv? what's your favorite show? 3. do you read any books? what's your favorite? 4. how often do you travel? what's your favorite place to visit? 5. you've admitted that you have OCD, and maybe something else (i skim the long threads). are you on any medication? 6. are you willingly unemployed, or were you laid off/fired? if so, why? what's the job market like in your area? how long have you not been working? 7. you said you had a degree in communications (i think). why did you work at a doughnut shop? bad job market? 8. do you have any kids? do you want kids? 9. do you have any pets? 10. do you live near your family, or did you move to the SE (?) on your own?
1. what are your hobbies? do you play any sports? insturments?
Dancing, Singing, Karaoke, Watching tv, Playing game show video games(Wheel of Fortune, Price is Right, Press Your Luck, Family Feud), OBVIOUSLY BLOGGING AND INTERNET FORUM DISCUSSION BOARDS, accomplishing something such as cleaning up something like vacuuming your car with seeing the final result of it, EATING OUT OF COURSE, etc.
Sports: I love the watch the Saints.
Instruments only a few songs on the piano/keyboard like heart & soul, chopsticks, Sheena E. -The Glamorous Life(It ain't much) I know how to play part of that song with the black keys, part of "one and one" from 2livecrew.
6. are you willingly unemployed, or were you laid off/fired? if so, why? what's the job market like in your area? how long have you not been working?
Laid off since Dec. Tried 3 jobs out, 1 was not a clerical job, but was in the clerical listing on craigslist that was an assembly worker putting labels on bottles, putting items in boxes, etc. which he said I was too slow even though I put MORE THAN 100% FULL EFFORT, 1 of the other two I even volunteered my time off the clock to try to catch up which didn't help, the other was the most recent one which was a receptionist/assistant which she said phones weren't for me that I was fine with the assistant part of the job, but the phones part that the workers said they couldn't hear me when I intercomed their phone. I even told the manager I would try to talk louder, she said she felt phones weren't my thing.
150 resumes some places. The last job I was at people that had MASTER'S DEGREES were applying that boss said that I had.
Two places I applied to had cigarette smoking, which is SUPPOSED to be ILLEGAL in the workplace since it's not a bar or casino. One place I wasted my gas going to fill out an application only to go there it reeked of smoke. I did breath it back when I worked at the donut shop off and on between 1998-2002, but now that I am older, I don't want to die of lung cancer or heart disease faster from 2nd hand smoke. The other I refused the interview when she said the owner smoked. That's just wrong. I mean if the owner drank, we could stay clear of him, but we have to breath, so smoking is a bit different. We can't bring an iron lung with us wherever we go. I never smoked, but heart disease runs in my family a lot(my dad had 2 heart attacks, 4 stents, my grandmother(his mother) had a heart attack or 2, and my real grandfather(my mom's dad) died before I was born from a heart condition in his sleep. You may say if I know all of that why do I eat so poorly, well most people don't do everything healthy in general and I love food. I recently quit drinking about 4 months ago, so I have to have SOMETHING to live for. I never smoked and didn't have much 2nd hand smoke until the donut shop job or if we go to a bar or casino. My point is, I am not going to risk my life for a job again by breathing that shit. It's disgusting. What made me never smoke was what I saw in school how it makes your teeth yellow with some disguisting pictures of what a smoker's teeth look like, I also had an uncle(my mom's brother) that would spit up yellow phlegm and cough from smoking, it stinks, it's expensive, makes your skin appear like you look older than you are, rough raspy voice, and it makes my eyes water. So I feel I had every right to turn down something that has to do with health. I didn't turn down a job offer at all. I turned down interview and I took back my application to the one I went to. Also, having had bronchitis a couple of years ago for a over a month or so with constant coughing that REALLY made me NEVER want to work at a smoky place again nor would I EVER, EVER start smoking. It was PURE HELL and I NEVER SMOKED in my lifetime.
7. you said you had a degree in communications (i think). why did you work at a doughnut shop? bad job market?
Not communications, Applied Technology at a vo-tech school. I actually went to a university before that for nursing school, but it wasn't for me, it was too hard. I tried it though.
Donut shop was my first job back in 1998 I was 20yrs old, a couple of months or so before 21yrs old. I started Martin Luther King day Jan. 1998 and got a raise the first week in March from $5.15/hr min. wage to $5.50/hr. I applied to McDonald's which was not far from the donut shop and then the donut shop. I ended up getting the donut shop. I made more money and got more hours. Tips plus min. wage and got more hours than they would give you at McDonald's, but you didn't get time and a half since the company was so small they were able to get away with giving you your regular hourly wage, but I still made more than than at Mcdonald's. I worked off and on like 7 months in 1998 went to nursing school in Aug. Then had to withdraw in March of 1999 due to I wasn't doing too well and went back to a different school in Aug. 1999, then did worse at this school(they were getting rid of the program for any new incoming students so anyone that had to withdraw they sent to another school to continue the program), so that was Nov. 1999 I withdrew, I started back at the donut shop and worked until Nov. 2000, went back to school(the vo-tech school at the time had a weird semester that started in Nov.) I worked the holidays in between like when we had a couple of weeks or so in Dec. and Jan. I worked the holidays. They always took me back during the holidays like easter, christmas, etc. probably because I was a loyal employee, which I actually never missed work a day there and was only late once because of a car accident. I even worked Christmas Day they were open.
You said "bad job market", not much jobs like there were back in 2004 when I was laid off. Like back then they had like 15 jobs at times I could apply to each Sunday and Thurs. now if I get 3-10 in a whole week it's amazing. I am not qualified for some. One really pissed me off that advertised in big letters "ENTRY LEVEL POSITION" then called and asked if I had switchboard experience, which I don't, so I didn't even get the fucking interview. WHY FUCKING PUT ENTRY LEVEL if they person can't start off with no prior experience? THAT PISSES ME THE FUCK OFF!!She didn't even give me an interview and I don't know WHY they didn't just put in the ad "MUST HAVE EXP." I still apply to those at times, but at least if they don't call, they didn't lie, that ad they lied. The reason why is sometimes I still got called even if I didn't have experience, so it doesn't hurt to apply. HOW do you get real world experience(not volunteering) if no one let's you get it?
I went to get a dr.'s office recep.(check in patients) job interview and the main thing this lady said was that I had "NO PRIOR MEDICAL OFFICE EXPERIENCE." It's so discouraging and depressing.
No kids, don't want any. I LOVE MY FREEDOM and I couldn't afford that. If it happens it happens, but NO WAY IN HELL I WANT THAT RESPONSIBILITY CRAP!! Kids are fun for an hour or two, but I don't want the responsibility part.
For me, if I was pregnant, I would almost hope that I would have a miscarriage, because right now with being unemployed would be the worst time this could happen. I know that sounds horrible, but I REALLY DON'T WANT KIDS, REALLY DON'T WANT KIDS! You may say don't have intercourse, well, you won't keep a husband if you don't do intercourse. We use protection(a condom) and the only time we didn't is when I was on the pill, even then sometimes we used both. I got off the pill about a year ago, because I was tired of the side effects, mostly the lack of sex drive. I was on the pill for over 9yrs. I waited until I was married to risk having intercourse. If it was my choice, I wouldn't have intercourse at all unless I was totally trashed drunk, which I am not drinking anymore. For me, it doesn't do anything for me. Not being married just to not have intercourse would be for me like why live, because for me, that's my entire life is my man. That's how I have always viewed the meaning of life since I liked guys when I was 12yrs old.

I am a cashier and just to let you know that we are trained to grab the next person waiting in line before we open a new lane. We aren't just to open a lane and it's first come first served. We are TOLD to take people from other lines first. So by your thinking we would be violating company policy which in turn could get us written up and if it happened enough fired.

Again if we open another line we are required to ask the first person waiting in the next line to come to our line and help them first before we help any other customers that may come into our line. It is company policy.

How can you LIVE with yourself working for a company that has NO MORALS? I would QUIT IMMEDIATELY if I were you. I couldn't do something morally wrong like that. I should have reported the cashier and YES they would have been on my side, because the customer behind me didn't make a fuss, so they were making a fuss when there was NO fuss making a customer not EVER want to come back.
I couldn't work for a company that did that and I wouldn't do that. If I would get written up, all well, at least I would have in my *HEART* I did the "MORALLY RIGHT THING."

Because I happen to agree with them. If I have been waiting in a line I would like to be asked to move lines and be served first before someone who just happens to come up at the time the cashier opens a line.
Again if we open another line we are required to ask the first person waiting in the next line to come to our line and help them first before we help any other customers that may come into our line. It is company policy.
The clerk did, there was NO REQUIREMENT that said they had to be NEXT IN LINE. All you are saying is that they are supposed to wave them to come to the line, NOT that they are going to be next.
It shouldn't be company policy, because the person that's in another line first off doesn't *HAVE* to move if they choose not to and second of all, once you leave the line, that's a RISK that this person is *NOT* going to be next in the "NEW" LINE.
2 separate lines means 2 separate turns, NOT one once you leave.
If I leave a line thinking it's shorter and go into another, guess what? I might have someone beat me to that line and I might also be in that line LONGER due to someone's price check in front of me or their card doesn't work, etc. BOTH have happened to me before. It was ************MY************** FAULT I left the line. That guy didn't "HAVE" to leave the line, he could have stayed where he was and probably should have. The cashier had NO RIGHT to tell me I cut when I didn't, because before we got to the line, NEITHER ONE OF US WAS IN A LINE TO HAVE A TURN YET.
I don't care WHAT the policy is, you do what's right in your *HEART*!! I couldn't work for a company that did that. I would go do something else, seriously, it's just like I couldn't work as a telemarketer knowing I am bothering people, same difference. You know it's wrong, but do it anyway, well that's on *YOU*, NOT the company. They aren't making you stay at that job.
