I really want to get a pair of converse for casual wear when I don't want a sneaker sneaker and also don't want a ballet flat.
Did most of you size down? I've read they stretch. I don't want to risk them getting stretched out once they are worn in.
Also, I feel like they will make my feet look really big. Do any of you feel that way about particular shoes? I will likely just force myself to wear them and not look down.

I feel like they make my feet look HUGE. I wear a size 9, so definitely not petite, but also not monstrous or anything. Converse really just don't work on me

Ugh. I wear an 8. I guess I'll try them on in store, and maybe try them on with some outfits at home. I really hate wearing shoes that make my feet look huge. It's dumb, but I always feel really self conscious about it.

I wear a 9.5 and regular chucks made my feet look huge, I got the Shoreline ones instead and something about the way the laces are, they dont appear as big

Hmm well maybe I'm fooling myself. At first I though mine made my feet look really long but I just needed to get used to them. I had never had a pair before so they looked weird at first. But looking at other people wearing them I never though that. So I just went with it and I love mine.
FWIW, they didn't stretch on me much, if at all. I'm a VERY true size 8 and the Nordstrom sales guy brought me a 7 and they were perfect. Here's a pic... I don't think they look huge... do they?

ETA: Yikes sorry this stupid pic is so big
This gives me hope! I always wear an 8. I think your feet look like normal sized feet to me. I'll give them a try. I already asked a very opinionated BFF to come along.

Just looked at these online. They are cute. This shoe only has 4 grommets (sp?) which helps, instead of the standard 6. Thanks again.
I'm a solid size 8 and sized down a half size. They haven't stretched but I was told they run a half size big. I have two pairs, the regular and slip on and both are 7.5 (again I'm a solid 8 everywhere else) and they fit perfect.
I have largish feet (9.5 usually) and I love my white converse! I used to worry but lately I've given up caring whether my feet look big.
Ditto on the size. I never particularly noticed that Chucks or any other shoe makes my feet look omg large. Unless I'm literally wearing clown shoes I'm with you-who cares if they look big or what people think
I have super small feet (size 6) and I get a size three in the kids section and they fit perfect. I don't think they make my feet look too big. I also get matching ones for my daughters.

I wear anywhere from a 9-10 in most shoes, and I buy a 9 in Converse. I do think maybe my feet look long in them, but I don't mind it. It's the same way for everyone, I think.
