I pumped about 15 ounces of milk today. It was in the lactation room fridge in an open, soft-sided cooler until I went to pick it up around 4.
I typically pump at 3 but went to nurse E then instead today. Totally threw me off my routine. Waaaahhhhh!
I went to get the milk after nursing her. Took the cooler from the fridge, zipping it up before getting my ice packs from the freezer. :,(
I realized my error at 5:20 and used my frozen back up milk from the daycare as an ice pack for the ride home. Got home and put the milk in the fridge at 6.
I mention that it was in the open cooler inside the fridge bc thinking maybe the inside of the cooler got colder that way, which would help. Grasping at straws here.

Definitely smell it, but I transport bottles in just a cooler all the time. It's insulated for a reason, and it wasn't very long anyway. You're probably fine!
So it went from fridge to room temp for 1.5 hrs? Then back in the fridge? No way I'd dump it. I'd smell it in the morning g to be sure but I wouldnt proactively dump.
Yeah, definitely don't dump! I never refrigerated milk that I pumped at work (insulated cooler and ice pack) and both girls seem to be doing okay it's fine!

Yeah, but I forgot my ice pack. Oops. That was my concern.
