Whatever chocolate I feel like eating. We get like, 3 trick or treaters. But I'm always prepared in case we suddenly get more!
Also, I spend the entire night chowing down on whatever I bought. I always get tons of Reese's -- usually those sampler packs with the cups as well as the candy bar types ones. They're DH's favorite. And usually a bag that includes Milky Way Dark because that's my favorite. And always a non-chocolate option just in case someone comes by who can't have chocolate. I usually also get packs of Goldfish or cheddar bunnies in case we got young toddlers, plus my kids can eat the leftovers.
We ToT at my parents house who live in a neighborhood, there's no ToTers here in the boonies. So I buy good candy to keep my parent's street cred Mini snickers, kit kats, Milky Way, etc. I LOVE hearing kid's say "awesome you guys have good candy!" And I've spent what, $20 maybe? Well worth it IMHO.
We hand out whatever Costco has. We had over 500 ToTers last year so most of our neighbors hand out cheapo stuff, but I'm too lazy to actually price out halloween candy. We've been told to expect more kids this year because Halloween is on a Friday, so I may get some tootsie rolls for the teenagers and infant ToTers.
I get a big thing of the utz pretzels at Sam's and a huge box of fruit snacks for the really little kids. Then a large multi bag or two of the good stuff and at least one large bag of the laffy taffy etc stuff because DH loves it. We live in a huge neighborhood and as long at the weather isn't crap, we'll go through it all. If anything's left over, I send it to work with DH to get it out of the house. We still have the kids candy around here from last x-mas stockings and Easter baskets.
We moved into our neighborhood after Halloween last year, so we're not sure how many to expect. We'll probably get some mini candy bars and some of the small bags of TJ kettle corn, because it's delicious.

We don't get a lot of ToTers b/c we're a small development off a major road...kids from outside can't walk here and there aren't enough houses to make getting driven over worth their while. I usually just grab a bag or two of whatever is on sale that I won't mind having leftovers of.

Last year we did fun size candy bars & Annie's bunnies. Not sure yet what we'll do this year but I will definitely have something nut free & something toddler friendly. We'll probably have dun size candy bars too.
good chocolate that our family likes. We just moved and I hear our neighborhood is where people from all over the city come to because we have "the best stuff" (a HHI area) so maybe I should step it up?

Our street has about 10 kids that live there, so we don't get many ToTers. I do full-size candy bars of stuff I don't like. Thanks to this board, I'll be sure to have a nut-free option. Thanks to the poster for the tip on Costco, I'll have to price that out!
Good chocolate: snickers, twix, milky way, kit kats, reese's. We got 1100 ToTers last year.
Wow!
I have no idea what to get this year because our neighborhood is dense but there aren't a ton of kids. I think I'll get some cheddar bunnies and some chocolate and maybe glow sticks as a backup.

we've done glow sticks in the past. Usually just a couple giant bags of candy. This year I'll man the house and DH will go trick or treating with the kids since I'll be hugely pregnant.
We do this too- with the coupon Costco usually has, it's cheaper than 3 pieces of smaller candy. I did the math because I'm nerdy like that. And we have a ton of ToT-ers.
Same here - not because it's necessarily cheaper, but because I like to be the cool house. Lol.
Last year we were getting low on candy, so I added in all of the packs of gum that I had for myself (another costco box), and those things went like GOLD! Almost every kid chose a pack of gum out of bowl full of chocolate, and would yell as the ran away, "They had GUM!!" It was a total success, and all of the parents in the neighborhood probably hate me.
This year I will buy gum and chocolate. I have a reputation to keep, after all.

This year it's minis (snickers, milky way, kitkats and something else) and glow stick bracelets. For nut allergies we have mini containers of play dough. We get about 200 trick-or-treaters.
Candy. I buy a mix of snack size chocolate (Twix, Kit Kat, M&Ms, Milky Way) and something like Swedish Fish, Twizzlers, or Gummy Bears. I don't buy anything with nuts because H and DS1 are both allergic, but I do be "processed in a nut facility" chocolate.
We do candy - usually whatever we want to snag out of the dish (Reese's, Milky Ways, Snickers, Twix, etc), and I always get some Skittles/Twizzlers because my niece hates chocolate ("Trick or treat! I don't care for chocolate!") and my nephew is allergic to milk proteins.
