I'm really tempted to get the giant playhouse from costco as a joint gift from Santa for the girls. Not sure how much it'll get used but it looks like fun (To me!)
Dd is getting a play kitchen that I got for free off of free cycle. I also have a trunki on her list and maybe the little people plane. We are going classic this year. I may also add an elmo. I can't believe I just typed that.
My girls would live a mini tramp but no room for it...however we probably will be getting a big air hockey table with a Ping pong top for the older girls. I don't want to buy anything else but I'm sure we will.
I am not sure. DS's bday is at the end of October, so I think we are getting him the strider bike then so he can ride it before it gets to cold.
For us personally DS LOVES the go go smart wheels toys so I am debating on getting him the big huge crazy race track for his birthday or for Christmas.
Are those the vtech ones?? If so DONT DO IT. Will adores his airport set so I'm prob getting him more for Xmas but they are the most annoying toys we own. SAVE YOURSELF!!!!!!!
DD is no fun. She's 4. Since she was 2 we have done kitchen, doll house, play house, swing set, innotab....
She plays with none if it. She'd rather catch butterflies and pick flowers. I keep hoping she'll get into some of it as she gets older, but now I feel like it's all old news. I think I got some of it too early. Last year she asked for strawberries for Xmas. I have no idea what to get this year. Sigh.
Eta- I just asked her and she said a bird house. What am I supposed to do with that?!

Oh we have like a small town of them ha. I have learned to tune them out. They have an amazing new race track with a loop-d-loop lol

Yeah that's what H thinks DS needs. I'm protesting though. I hate them. For some reason they annoy me more than anything in the world.
"The airport is a safe place to land!"
We have the airport, garage, and trainset already (plus a police car, tractor, cement mixer lol). The train moves on its own so it is kind of most awesome.
Luckily, DS turns them off when I ask ha. I mean you really can't deny the awesomess of that new race track though. I kind of want it just because I want to play with it ha ha

Our play kitchen is still popular. We are doing a new bedroom for her, for her 2nd birthday, expect me ask for opinions on where to hang things, or maybe just an AW. Nods is also getting a table and chairs and a shopping cart for her birthday on Friday. No idea what she's needs for Christmas. Maybe the nice kidcraft toy organizer. We try really hard to not have too much stuff.

I'm thinking Magnatiles.
karinothing M gets lots of toys simply because I want to play with them
@supergreen sorry to hear your kitchen was a fail. Ours is holding up well but M doesn't play with it as much as I expected. The train table triumphs everything else at our house.
I need to get rid of at least half of that damn food before I clean it up again.
Preach it sister! My fancy $200 play kitchen did not hold up well, looks like shit, and the play food gets chucked at me and the dog regularly. Bah humbug!
Wow I am surprised it didn't hold up well. You got a kids kraft one right? Which one did you get again?

We have a play kitchen. The girls love it. It's constantly a mess.
Yesterday I could smell something. Searched and searched, opened the pretend cupboard and there laid half a ham and cheese sandwich and a cheese stick.

Big girls are getting American Girl historical dolls (Marie Claire and Josefina). We have a play kitchen. A&A didn't play with it much (they got it for their 2nd birthday), but K loves it, so I will probably get her some play food for it. I will also get them a bar for the basement to practice gymnastics. I do need something for K for her birthday, and I have NO idea what to get! The kid has everything (most of it hand-me-downs from her sisters, but still) None of mine are or were ever into doll houses.
I feel like I learned my lesson with the play kitchen. From now on, I'm only buying her things that she has shown an interest in somewhere else, like at a play date, instead of buying something for her to grow into.
I'm debating buying the same playhouse my niece has. C adores that thing but we are planning to buy a big, nice play structure next summer so I don't know if that's too much somewhat permanent crap in the backyard. At $500, it's not something I'll want to ditch but at least I know she'll use it. The play structure's play house doesn't have a play kitchen in it and it's up high by the slides which is why I'm considering it.
This KidKraft garage off Amazon. He has the older model that didn't have as many slides and it is dying from daily use/abuse. I tried to toss it when we moved and DS FREAKED OUT. This one is different enough that he will love it and not think of it as a repeat. It is the ONLY birthday or Christmas gift in his 6 years that has been played with after 90 days. He uses his matchbox cars with it.
