So I'm overdue for the dermatologist, but I've had this bump on my leg for over 3 months. I thought it was a bite at first, but now I don't think so. It's not a zit. It doesn't appear to be an ingrown hair. It doesn't hurt. Whatcha think?
I just got back from the derm. I have two of those on my legs. He said they were likely these-
"Dermatofibromas are firm papules or plaques with a dusky red to brown color. They are most commonly found on the extremities (Fig. 9).
With palpation, they often seem to retract, giving the dimple sign. Dermatofibromas are benign tumors of fibroblast and histiocytic origin that can follow trauma. They are usually asymptomatic but occasionally are pruritic or irritated.
When indicated, therapy involves intralesional corticosteroids or simple excision."
Skin tags have a kind of stalk. These are more like a mole looking. The derm wasn't too excited about them.
You don't want to ask me what I think it is. My best friend had two spots removed at the derm on Monday, found out that they were both cancerous yesterday, and right now is at a specialist getting even more tissue cut out.

I've already called for an appointment!
My mom just had a basel cell carcinoma cut out of her back on Monday. It was flesh colored like that, well, pinkish like that. She's waiting on a biopsy

Yeah, that's the worst case scenario in my head. From what I've read it's not agressive.
