Tell me something positive from your day today. I had a rough day at work. A student came in with some bruises on her face and without going into details I'll just say I called CPS. Wasn't the first time I've had to call in my teaching career and it's never an easy thing to do.

That's so sad. I'm sorry you had to do that. My work day was the pits. Rushing around, traffic everywhere I went. Ugh. The best part of my day was when I walked out of the building. Let's hope tomorrow is better!

I'm so sorry. It's good you were there. My good thing is that I got DS two hours early today. Ive been picking him up really late and we hardly have any time together. We took a walk, played with toys, and had lite of cuddles. It was great

I had a really productive and satisfying day at work today. I was helping out a colleague with a bunch of briefing documents and I was originally going to only do a few of the documents, but as things on her side got more out of control (shipping items to a foreign country is ROUGH) I took the rest of the documents on and just told her to look over the schedule and do a final proof on them before she sent them out.
She made sure our boss knew how much I was helping her and how good everything went.
C has named his new Mickey stuffed toy "Tall Mickey" which I find hilarious. He has a smaller stuffed Mickey that is just known as "Mickey."
We have a similar situation, only it's Minnie and "Minnie's mommy".
OP, I'm so sorry. That is tough!!
My positive thing was DS took a bottle from me today! We've been really lax about trying bottles, and I was starting to worry he wouldn't want to take one when he starts daycare in a few weeks.
I'm sorry you had to make that call, but am glad you did it.
My throat doesn't hurt anymore? And I'm still awake at 8pm. Big win compared to last night! My kids all played well together today (well, for the most part). One of the people I supervise at work has really blossomed in his role. A client even noticed and pointed it out today. Since I am essentially charged with training him, it made me proud. My boss is big on work-life balance, though he doesn't have a lot of power to change the system. Usually I find his over-the-top approach to thanking us for all the hard work we do both annoying and cheesy, lately I've found it comforting and a bit uplifting. He stopped by my office today to thank me for my involvement in a committee. It was nice to have my hard work recognized.
DS2 told me tonight, "If you don't listen to me the first time I'm not going to listen to you the first time." It made me chuckle a bit since I had asked him to do something first before he interrupted me to tell me that he wasn't going to listen. DS2 also told me this evening, "I know how to sing the song about the tall tree and the baby that falls down." (Rock-a-bye baby.) Haha, great.
I posted about my day this morning and it was as good as planned: got a great massage, went out to lunch, took a two hour nap, read, and started watching Revenge on Netflix.

My kids kept cracking me up today. One of my favorites was when DS said, "Elsa, you're a giant big girl." (I guess "big girl wasn't sufficient) DD responded, "No! Little baby Elsa!"
So sorry about your student You did the right thing of course.
Today: Got a haircut Drank a pumpkin chai latte Talked to my BFF who is due in two weeks with her first Had a great afternoon with DD; she was all giggles and high energy Ate a yummy dinner
ETA forgot to add that when I gave DD her snack of cottage cheese and nectarines, she said "mmmm!" after every bite and did this ridiculous little happy dance lol I love her man
