Had my appointment today. I go in next week for a vaginal ultrasound and bloodwork, and DH goes in for an SA. Depending on those results, they'll schedule an HSG for after that.
I'm glad I went but I had no idea how much I'd wish DH were there too. He gets back on Saturday, thank god. I'm just feeling like a raw, wreck of a hot mess.

Aww hugs. Fear of the unknown is the worst but you have taken that fist step to come out of darkness and get some answers. One step closer to your baby! Hope you get some answers and a great plan after this.
It is great that you are taking a proactive approach. I hope this brings you answers. I'm sure ypu guys are closer to getting your baby. Good luck with the tests.
I'm glad to hear you're making progress on testing. It's definitely not fun but at least you feel like you're trying something new. Hope your DH can make it in the future. Hope you feel better after your emotions settle down a bit. Treat yourself to something nice today.

I'm sorry you're feeling so crummy. Make sure you take some time for yourself today.
I'm glad they're putting a plan together for you. I had a vaginal ultrasound yesterday, and it's really not a big deal - not uncomfortable or painful at all (for the record, the ultrasounds was scheduled for something unrelated to TTC but since my doctor knows we're TTC she "threw in" the pelvic/vaginal one). Are they making you drink the water? If so, make sure you drink it all. I had to go in with an empty stomach for the abdominal part and wasn't allowed to eat after midnight, I have a really hard time choking down that much water on an empty stomach so I only managed to down 3 of the 4 cups. The ultrasound tech was pretty rude to me about it and then was telling her coworkers that I "didn't drink the water" while I was getting dressed.
The ultrasound and blood work is easy peasy. DH was with me for my HSG and I'm sooo happy he was. It was pretty uncomfortable and he held my hand and was trying to distract me as best he could. It's also nice to have DH with you listening to the plan as well because he might have questions that I don't think of right away (I ALWAYS think of a bunch of questions AFTER lol).

Any restrictions you were on were for whatever other testing you were having done. It had nothing to do with the internal ultrasound.
You need an empty bladder for an internal ultrasound (which hers will be). The bathroom was on the way to the room and my nurse encouraged me (and everyone else) to at least try before they started. A full bladder actually gets in the way and they will make you go after you get gowned up if you don't do it first.

Yeah, I was going to say, all of my transvaginal ultrasounds (and I've had many in the last year+) have been with an empty bladder. The only time they wanted me to have a full bladder was for my embryo transfers (when they do an abdominal ultrasound).
Trying for #3; FET 8/18 -- BFN. Leaving things up to chance for now... After three years, three IVFs, and two FETs, we finally have our miracle babIES!

Yup, they made me empty my bladder for the internal portion of the ultrasound. They did an ultrasound from the outside first of my pelvic region which is why I needed the full bladder. Only after I peed did they start the internal portion.
I hope everything goes well for you. The bloodwork and vag ultrasound are pretty easy. WIll you get the HSG done with the RE? I'd recommend it. I got mine done at my local hospital and it wasn't good. The RE is so much easier (in my experience)

@king26 - Yep, it'll be with the RE. Everything will be with him, since I don't have any special "breaks" to have it done with a regular doctor or anything. I absolutely HATE blood work, but I had better get used to it, since it seems like that's the thing to do with any sort of fertility stuff, otherwise, I'm ok with the next appt.
For the HSG, DH will definitely be going with me. I'm not looking forward to that one!

Good luck with it all. I'm not a big fan of blood work either but by this point it's become so routine it's nothing. Same with the vag ultrasound. Prior to IF troubles I had trouble even getting my pap smear, now it doesn't bother me in the least. I'm glad you are getting the HSG done with the RE. Good choice!
I'm sorry you're feeling bad. I'm sure it is all a bit overwhelming. But that's awesome that you have a plan and I hope you get some good answers that will lead you to your BFP!
I'm sorry you are feeling raw and crummy, but I think it is great you are taking next steps and have a a bit of a plan. I'm glad your H will be back on Saturday--our RE wouldn't even book our appointment without both of us being there, I imagine it will be easier going forward with him there.
::hugs:: I had my first RE appt on Monday and was surprised at how down I felt after, it's a step in the right direction but dammit I'd rather just be KU already!! We're skipping the US and bloodwork since I just had that last year and moving right to the SA and HSG after my next cd1.... which I'd way rather just not get.....
