I went through the same stuff with my 14 year old cat, and I spent a couple thousand dollars and they still have no idea. I feed him very small amounts several times a day/night with two different programmable feeders and he only vomits once a week or so, which is much better multiple times a day. I am feeding him a food with one protein and it's grain-free. I was feeding him a prescrip Royal Canin crap food, and he still vomited the same as with the other one, so I switched to the better quality food.

Good luck with your search for answers, because I am at a loss with mine.

Yes thanks! I took note when she said to switch them to human grade canned food or raw food...or that some cats can develop allergies to food. I'm going to try this route with the food since I think it would address an allergy or IBD.
It's frustrating! I certainly don't want to be shelling out $$$ all the time just doing test after test. If this food angle doesn't work I'm taking him to my family vet...this vet I went to again here I just feel like she doesn't try and figure it out she just goes "ok, well next you can do a blood test, and then after that getting a scan."
If adjusting your pet's diet doesn't yield good results, you might want to look into pet insurance so that you can get him properly diagnosed and cared for.
You almost need to slowly transition the food - over the course of a month to a new food.... the diarrhea could be trying all different types of food? I used to work at an animal shelter and we always advised slowly transitioning food. Hope that helps! Ashley
