I haven't gotten a gift for the couple whose wedding we went to in CO yet. I thought it would it would be nice to give them a canvas print of one of the photos I took while up there. Is that egotistical? They have a baby on the way and are spending the winter working back in Texas to make some money before they go back to CO to stay. I thought maybe something more practical would be better. Thoughts?

I think it's a sweet idea but I voted to give something in addition since it sounds like they have a lot of big life changes happening and may appreciate some practical gifts, too. I have been given art as a gift and appreciate it quite a bit, since it's such a unique gift. Definitely go with your intuition, you know them well and can most likely gauge if they would truly enjoy it.

Maybe do something practical and then gift them the canvas after they've come back to CO and are settled. More of a welcome home gift?
For Christmas I'll be giving my avatar to DH's Aunt. Well the photo that is It's from her garden so would be personal for her. Given that it was taken around the weekend of this couples wedding and location I feel it'd be a very touching gift.
If they have expressed admiration of your work/a certain photo I think it would be nice but if you just give it to them randomly it might seem conceited. I would probably give them something small in edition to it.
