skwcm80, @vtcupcake, and anyone else who has run Chicago...am I the only one who kind of loves the Roosevelt hill? skwcm80 didn't even make mention of it, so I'm guessing it didn't both her much either. At that point, the crown is AT LEAST 10 people deep, which makes it awesome, and I thought it actually felt nice after SO MUCH flat. It's like one final "FUCK YEAH!" before heading down the hill to the finish.

I spent 4 hours and 30 minutes waiting for (and dreading) the Roosevelt hill because I knew the end was close. It wasn't anywhere near as bad as I was anticipating.
When I was coming up the hill I kept looking around because I didn't think the cars on the highway were making all of the noise, then I realized it was the crowd. God, that was amazing!!
I almost missed DH at mile 1.5 -- he's almost a blur!
We spent 5 nights (Fri - Wed) to explore the city and take a real vacation and I must say Chicago style pizza is manna from Heaven! We ate at Giordano's on Sun night and a place in front of the TRUMP tower 2x because it was damn fine Italian.
