Anyone watch? I mean it is obviously a ridiculous story line, but I love it. It does remind me of the telenovellas, which I am sure is the point. I will likely keep watching.
not for me. insensitivity to those with IF is REALLY not fun. most of us on TTTC are not happy with this show.
Yes, I can suspend reality for many things on TV, but especially now that I've had IUIs done it's just not possible in this case. It's possible this makes me a stick in the mud, but whatever.

Can I ask a stupid question, but is it just the implausable mix up that is insensitive? I mean the character (Jane) has been very sensitive and is putting the needs/wants of the couple whose baby it is above her own. So I guess I am just not sure why it is insensitive.
Or is it why the lady was choosing to get the IUI?
Or just the fact that this mix up was so implausible in teh first place.

The implausible mixup is the stupid part. I have no idea why the other party was getting the IUI nor do I care, but I can tell you that if it were me, I'd sue that doctor so fast it would make his head spin. The state medical board would also get a very strongly worded phone call.
That is a woman's hopes and dreams for a baby that the doctor fucked up. Basically, I would be thinking "that woman is carrying what should have been MY child."
And yes, it is implausible to have the mixup in the first place. IUIs are an informed consent procedure. My doctor not only verified with me that we were doing an IUI (called a time out), but also verified that we had the correct name on the tube of washed jizz before she stuck it into me.

If it makes you feel better she had unfroze her H's sperm without his consent to keep him from leaving her. You know, totally plausible

And she didn't want to be married just wants money from the pre nup. Plus the dr is her husband's sister. So kind of wierd. but they do address how horrible it is, the lady is not just cool with it.
But i do totally understand where you are coming from. Thanks for explaining
I just watched it and enjoyed it. It is very telenovela. Also, I love that la bruja from East Los is the abuelita on this show; she is such a good actor, IMO.
Not a fan of the concept. I watched the first episode but HATE how the female Doctor screwed up the procedure because she was so emotionally distraught over her cheating wife. Seriously? That same storyline would never fly with a male doctor.
I watched the first three episodes. While I found the premise compelling, and the main character likeable, the implausibility of the mix-up actually occurring does get to me. It's hard to suspend my disbelief for that.
I'm also a bit weirded out by the show's comedy/drama dichotomy. It seems like it's supposed to be funny, but at the same time all these really serious and somber things are happening, from scheming and cheating all the way to murder. Some of the actors on the show do a great job, while others are wooden to me. I like the triad of Jane, her mom, and her abuela. They all work well together.
