Pushing this to the top of the board for official check-in day.
Ummm...my PF is angry. My allergies are off the chart and I'm in survival mode. Oh, I've got a half at the end of Nov. And I'm none too excited.
I'm sorry jenni. I know you've tried lots of stuff for your PF - any stones left unturned? You've done PT? You're doing stretches and all that like a good girl? Any allergy med changes you could make?
I totally blew off my run last night because it was raining. And then I was going to run this morning, but it was still raining. I suspect it will still be raining tonight.
blah. I'll run in the rain in August, but not so much in October. If it's still raining tonight I might just have to deal with it though.
But I'm also signing up for a turkey trot and contemplating training as if I was going to do a half in the spring up until the point where it is confirmed that I can't do a half in the spring. And I'm lurking the shit out of H&F because suddenly I'm all, "I'M A MOTHER FUCKING RUNNER!!!" It's exciting. It also makes me want to buy a bunch of new running gear. Anybody have any higher waisted compression tights/capris they love that don't cost $$$$$$? I want something that won't slide down under my jigglebelly.

wawa - I have a few pairs of compression pants from Old Navy that I really like.
I went to the gym this morning! It's cross training day so I did 15 minutes on the bike and 11 minutes on the elliptical. I wanted to do more, but my knee didn't agree.

Yes you are a runner!
As for me, anytime I lay off all my extra therapy stuff I have a couple good weeks and the it goes south fast. Sleeping in my sling helps but that's super sexy. Basically I just need to come to terms with doing my therapy stuff forever.
Allergies were UNDER CONTROL. I'm trying to decide if I just go to my doc or do I try a new allergist? Meh, my frustration is extremely high at the moment.

Yes. I know that sucks, but yes, you do. That's what chronic issues like that require - you have to keep ahead of them.

And this is why I am preaching the importance of stretching people!!!! If I had been better about stretching and even yoga early on I would not be having to deal with this now.
Whatever you do, gym, running, swimming, biking, ballet, whatever, warmimg up, cooling down and stretching are uber important.
The outside of my left ankle towards the back (where my achilles heel is, the hollow between the tendon and the ankle bone) hurts. I have no idea what caused it, why it's hurting, or how to fix it. I've been icing/elevating when I can.
secretlyevil, blah. I'm sorry you're having so many issues. Get thee back to Dr. Joe to get thee straightened back out, and then take care of yourself. Maybe put some lace on your sling to make it a little sexier?
I'm enjoying my offseason. I'm right in the middle of Whole30, and it's really not as hard as I thought it would be. I'm seeing noticeable differences in my body, so that makes me happy. I think I may continue it on through when I leave for Peru at Thanksgiving. I'm trying to figure out a training plan that makes sense now. Technically, I should start back to tri training right after Thanksgiving, but since I'm having surgery at the beginning of December, there's really no point. So...maybe I'll just keep doing a lot of yoga and running a bit?

I did! I don't want to be a total PW and post all my questions at once, so I'm pacing myself.
Lots of yoga and running sounds like a good plan. Maybe just swim or bike for kicks now and then? Do you guys bike recreationally or just to train?

We ride mostly just to train. My bike is all rigged up with aerobars right now. That's not to say that I couldn't take it out for a few easy spins here and there.
Good news: my half on Sunday went really well. I about shit myself when I saw my official time.
However, I have been eating anything that's not tied down since then. Holy shit. I'm going to a spin class at a new spin only studio on Saturday and I'm ridiculously excited for it...too bad its too expensive for me to go regularly (first visit is free). I need to figure out wtf I'm going to do with myself this winter since I cancelled my gym membership.
Down another 3 lbs! The eating is improving a great deal and all my meetings are helping. Not enough time to exercise, but I need to adjust this for sure.
wawa, stop lurking and start posting. We don't bite. Or at least I don't...I leave the biting up to AJ right now. I can't speak for the other girls though Re: higher waisted compression tights, I have a pair of capri compression tights from ON that I really like.
