I had an obgyn appt this morning to chat about TTC and my doc seems to want to be really proactive. She scheduled an HSG for Monday and I will do blood tests next cycle on CD3 ( I am on CD5 now so just missed that window).
She also have us a number of where DH can get a SA, which she said to schedule once we are done with trying in our FW this cycle.
I am really glad I decided to go a little earlier than a year and that she was so proactive. I feel like I have a good plan in place for right now:)
That's great! Sounds exactly like what happened at my first appointment too. Doesn't it feel good to feel like you're doing *something* at least? lol.
Exactly! I feel like it's calming to just have a plan in place.
That's how I felt after my first appointment with my new ob/gyn. I actually had an HSG at my first appointment since I was at the right time in my cycle. And a month later we just did our first IUI. It definitely feels good to start doing something.
Glad to hear you have a plan. I had a similar response from my primary care doctor who ran some initial blood work and referred me to an RE. We had only been trying for 6 months but I wasn't ovulating so she didn't hesitate referring me. We are coming up on a year trying next month and I'm so glad I didn't wait to get help.
