It is such a fun color....I wish I needed a KA. There is no way to justify it when I have 2 KA mixers (my 5qt pro and the heavy duty one that DH's aunt gave me when she moved). Maybe I should have one of mine painted so that I can have a fun color too.lol
That's so pretty!!! I want a KA mixer and have been trying to decide which one and what color, forever. My favorite was a pale, warm yellow they no longer make, but this one would be fun

My sister has the color that you liked. The cream color kind of reminds me of it.
Mine are both so boring. DH's aunt's is white, and mine is matte gray (I can't remember the color name, but it is dark gray and has a light texture. They are under the counter though, so it doesn't really matter what color they are, but it sure would be fun to pull out something snazzy to use.
Mine has been doing this weird not turning on then turning on thing for about a year. Maybe I can justify getting this. (Even though I think it's just a cord short that can be repaired.)

Your sister is lucky! And mine would likely live under the counter so color wouldn't really matter, and I can see myself picking something neutral because I can't commit to a color, but I like the idea of something fun
I'm feeling meh about this one. I just can't picture it looking great in many kitchens. What kind of kitchen do you see it being at home?
Mine.
I think it is more about the person than the kitchen. I can't see either of my siblings with a KA that color or any color that is not somewhat mainstream, but people expect something like that from me and are surprised at my neutral colored mixers. They are less surprised when they see my matte finish gray, rather industrial looking one, just because I tend to like industrial, but they expect something that is 'different' from me like a weird color.

It's beautiful! But those things are built to last and I can be so flip flop-y and indecisive about color I'd be afraid I would get tired of it. My KA is white and even then sometimes I wish it was SS. Yellow would be adorable in my current kitchen but who knows what color my next kitchen will be. LOL.

That is the reason I went with my matte gray. I figured that it would be easier (and cheaper) to change the wall color, and that has been something that I have done often in the past.
Of course now I have the most neutral kitchen in the world, so fun colored cookware and appliances seem more important to me.
I need that - even though I have a perfectly good 6 quart professional. I *LOVE* the color.
While I am wishing....I wish that I had the 6qt pro because they have a glass bowl for that size now.
Can you just buy the bowl? I love my 6 qt pro - a sparkly black one. Would be neat to have a glass bowl to go with it.
I love the one in the OP - maybe I could have that for smaller jobs Unfortunately, I think DH would kill me if I tried to get something else to cram into our tiny kitchen.

I'm not sure. I didn't look at it carefully, because I was fascinated with how they made it work with the fittings on that style mixer, and annoyed that it didn't fit mine, but if it is basically the same model with a glass bowl, then they should sell replacement bowls.

Just asked Google. Found a link to Kitchenaid's FB page that said the bowls aren't for individual sale yet.

"I was thinking about getting off on demand, but it sounds like I should be glad that I didn't"
That's gorgeous. But, I don't think I'd ever actually buy it for myself. I really wanted this one when I got my KA:
and my dad got me this one instead for Christmas that year:
even though I was mildly bummed at the time, when I think of the 3 different kitchens I've had since I got it (and it has sat out on the counter in all of them) I am grateful that it's very neutral. Cobalt blue would've looked ridiculous in at least one or two of the three.
Mine is just plain white (it's also old enough that I don't think they were making it in colors at that time. I bought it out of the pennysaver 9 years ago), but it lives in a cabinet.
I'd love to have both a pretty color AND somewhere to keep it out.
