My nursery fabric swatches came in! You can't really tell, but the aqua and orange are also in the paper airplane fabric. My H loves planes and I have the very best memories of my grandpa making paper airplanes with us and flying them around, and his name will be the baby's middle name. I don't know exactly how we're using each fabric yet. The paper airplanes will just be some small touches. The big one will probably be the crib skirt and a pillow for the glider. Any thoughts on what color to paint the wall? Keep in mind that we rent so if it's not a neutral, we have to paint it back (which we are happy to do if we need to).

So cute!!! I like the grey for the walls too! And I agree I was going to say yellow for a third color, or maybe a lime green, but that might depend how the colors look in person.
Eta: SW makes a nice light greigey grey called Worldly Grey. Sort of goes with the theme too!
My H has informed me that gray is the color of depression and despair and we cannot put that in a nursery. I told him he has no business making decorating decisions!

Lol!! How about greige or taupe? Does that sound better
Ok how about a really really light and airy Aqua? One that is the same time as the real you have? Sort of emulates the sky...

No way! DD's nursery was gray and it was beautiful. It's such a great background color and makes everything else really pop off it. (I kind of hate using that term, but it works!)
That's what I told him! It's a classic neutral and a beautiful base color for a room. He is adamantly against it. I like the idea of the light aqua. Since we are not using a ton of the aqua fabric, it wouldn't be too overwhelming.

Hahahahaha. You *know* I know all about your DH's love for my city but now it's going to be your theme too?? I think that it is adorable and so appropriate. I can't wait to see the finished products.
Now as for your questions, I think a gray with blue undertones would work well on the walls and then punches of yellow would look awesome too.

It's also the theme of about half the baby outfits we've purchased. And I think we're doing our maternity photos at the airport H flies out of. Have I mentioned he's obsessed?

I freaking love it. That means that you should do some pics from my house too, lol.
