I kind of want to keep a running tally of everything DD freaks out about for one day. The list would be SO LONG and so ridiculous.
So far today's would look like this:
6:45a: DS1 called her "Doodles" 7:15-7:30a: Not really sure. Just general freaking out. 7:45a: I put milk in her cereal (like every morning). She didn't want milk in her cereal (but didn't tell me).
DS slept pretty well last night! I'm working so hard to teach him to soothe himself back to sleep. We're getting closer!
We're off to a playgroup this morning and then may stop by my school so I can get some things ready for the week. It's a short week as were going out of town on Thursday for a family wedding.
DS is just so enjoyable right now. He's sitting in bed between us, just staring up at me and smiling. So sweet!

I told myself I was going to keep DS birthday party "small this year." Which meant I wasn't invited non kid friends or people that we do not hang out with/talk to on at weekly/daily basis. I counted the RSVP list and we have 40 people coming. WHY do I do this to myself. Also, I realized that his previous parties must have had like 60+ people. I do not have a big house lol.
The only perk of DS being up early is that we'll be at Target before the church rush gets out.
I'm hoping the guy who is going to give me a quote on the laundry closet is going to be a bit more reasonable otherwise I'm totally doing this myself outside of the cabinet. I'm just not willing to spend more on labor than I did on ALL of the materials combined.
We’re going to pick out E’s first pumpkin today! And meeting friends for brunch. Mmm!
I did have brunch alone with my friend yesterday. Also got in a car accident (just rear-ended, but hard!) on the way home, so I was very grateful not to have E with me.
Has anyone ever noticed wear sizing in Halo sleep sacks? Our smalls and mediums aren’t very different, but I ordered a large and my 6’4” husband joked that he can wear it. So weird.
ETA: cricketwife, were you selling a L sleep sack? I thought I saw that in an old BST post earlier this week but I can’t find it now.
DD is already down for her morning nap. I wish she were a normal 2 nap baby, not a 4 nap baby. We are skipping church today and I am excited to have a day to just get shit done.

DD was up at 3:30 this morning crying. All attempts at getting her back to sleep were useless. She just tossed and turned until 5 when I finally gave up and decided to feed her. She isn't headed back to sleep anytime soon. Meanwhile, this was my last Sunday to have a chance to sleep in. DH starts a 7 day a week shift at work this week that will last 3-4 weeks. I'm not sure why I haven't demanded he entertain the baby while I go back to sleep.
The baby has a cough. It's not really bothering him but DH's and I were both up for what, 2:30-4 last night? He's already down for his nap and DH took DD to mass by himself, I am so tired, I'll go to 11.
And DS1 ate a lot of cookies, mints, and other candies/sweets that were at his level all day yesterday at SIL's wedding reception so his belly is ALL out of sorts. He's already had a bath because, gross. Probiotics should help, right? I've added them to my list.
Our flight leaves tomorrow at 7 am so today is just getting my inlaws as ready as possible to survive with all three kids while were gone lol. MIL and I are heading to Target to pick up some more baby proofing stuff and then Sam's later.
I had a dream last night that @supergreen, @marshmallows and I were all neighbors in a tiny farm town. @supergreen had a pet lion that kept raiding my fridge.
I'm still waiting for a report on if my kids slept at grandma's last night. I, on the other hand, slept until 8. Now I've already had sex, painted some chairs, picked up the kitchen and I'm making a grocery list. I can get SO MUCH DONE without kids. DH wants to stay home for the rest of the day, but I think I'm going to go downtown before I'm supposed to pick them up and treat myself to brunch. With a mimosa, of course. It's like a date, only cheaper !

Pilsy, we're going to our first pumpkin patch today too! Although I'm going to be MMM and not buy him a pumpkin, lol. We're going to just wander through the pumpkins and take a hayride. I just sold a L sleepsack, but as long as the head and arm holes aren't too big, I wouldn't worry about how long they are. The only issues I've had with sizings is on used ones. I think they can shrink a fair bit over time, but the news ones I've bought have all been pretty consistent.

You’re as frugal as I am!!
Good point about the sacks. I was joking with my mom, though, that instead of goofy footed pajamas for the whole family, I’m getting sleep sacks.
Child free morning after a late night? Wake up at 7:30. Uggggh. On the plus side, I just sat in bed for 1.5 hours playing on my phone, which I couldn't do at home, so I'm still winning.

Today is party day! It's been in the 70s most of the week, so of course the day we're having 45 people in our small/awkwardly laid out house, it's going to be 55 degrees. I hope people dress warm so they can use the deck!
M has been awesome the past few days. Ok, he was up four times last night, but the first two times I was able to easily soothe him back to sleep. After I fed him at 5:30, he went back to sleep until 8:30!! And he has been taking two good naps a day. I think that getting into a specific routine has made all the difference in the world. He starts yawning when we go in the nursery! Y'all, I feel like my sanity is slowly returning.
And, as a bonus, he's so much more pleasant and adorable when he's awake. (Knocks on wood furiously as I know it's only a matter of time until his next growth spurt or wonder week!)
We went out on our first post-baby date night last night. Yay! Time with DH was nice, coming home to a DD who waited up for us (albeit quietly, in her bed, without bothering the sitter) was not so nice.
We also popped into what used to be our favorite bar in the hood at the exact moment that the band finished a set and took a long break. This then caused me to look around the bar and realize how much younger than me everyone in there was.

I think baby Ace is getting sick. He sounds a little congested. Nods is still sick, too. At least I have my husband home today to help. I'm drinking water and taking vitamins like crazy to hopefully not catch the bug.
My H called me overbearingst night before going to bed. I'd asked him to go upstairs and say good night to family members who were leaving before hue went to bed. He responded with "you're so over hearing, I'm tired of being told what to do." It really hurt my heart and I had bad dream about it last night. And when I tried to talk to him about it this morning he brushed me off. Now i'm even more upset.

Hugs @idaholakelady
The boys have been up since 6am. Ugh. I need to get one of those Time to Wake Up clocks.
After I shower and get some breakfast in these kids, we are off to Dizzy Castle. Picture a McDonald's Play Play magnified by 100. The boys run and play and I sit on my ass, drink coffee and knit.
The weather is gorgeous and I'm loving the cheapo plastic Adirondack chairs I made DH pick up yesterday since we have no idea what kind of outdoor furniture we want for the backyard. I was very tired of sitting on a cooler while dd played. Now I have my coffee, a comfy chair, and an ottoman to enjoy while dd pokes around in the backyard. WINNING.
We are having a wonderfully lazy morning. C slept until 8:45am with NO WAKE-UPS during the night! Please let this be the end of the 18 month sleep regression! We've all been snacking for breakfast on a banana bread/pumpkin bread/pound cake sampler I got at Costco, C is down for a nap now, DH is defeating evil (playing video games) and I am GBCNing.
I totally nailed breakfast today, it was AWESOME. Even DS said "wow yummy momma!" We had leftover crumbled sausage, peppers & onions from making calzones last night, so I added scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, and salsa to make breakfast burritos. I crisped the tortillas a bit in the hot cast iron skillet. Plus fresh fruit. Man oh man was that good!
