I am not much of a baker. And by not much, I mean I never bake. But I got a bundt pan recently because I always loved bundt cakes and am looking for some inspiration. Does anyone here have a good recipe? I don't mind a box-cake starter, either. Thanks!
I don't have a good recipe, but one important tip with bundt cakes is to make sure you grease the pan _really_, _really_ well. They tend to stick, and that sucks with bundt cakes.
1 yellow cake mix 1.5 cups of ripe mashed bananas 3 eggs 0.25 cups of oil 1.5 cup water
Bake at 350 for 40 minutes.

There are no instructions, so I'm presuming you mix all the ingredients together just as you would if you were making a regular yellow cake from a mix.
She frosts it with a chocolate glaze, which either consists of a proper ganache (chocolate and heavy cream), or a can of chocolate frosting that she softens in the microwave, lol, depending on what she has on hand and how much effort she feels like putting into it.

Oh, this is great--I have some overripe bananas right now. I might go with this one first and then look at all the others!
LOL I was going to suggest her blog! I've made her original bundt cake recipe- the Rachel New recipe? It is quite good
i love reading both of her blogs - mama and family. her life is nothing like mine, but it's fun seeing how another family lives. i can't wait until she can post all of the details about the child she is adopting!

Yes, I love her blog too. It's an easy and positive read, quick read too. I can't wait to finally "meet" her new baby girl. What a gorgeous family too.
Take a Spice Cake dry mix, and one can of pumpkin (not the pie filling but actual canned pumpkin). Mix and put in a well greased bundt pan. Put in the oven at 350 and bake until a toothpick comes out clean (about 45 minutes for me).
After you plate it, let it cool and then drizzle with cream cheese frosting. I just nuke my jar of frosting and then drizzle it around.
