Who's with me? 38+2 and:
- can't sleep for crap. can't even nap. insomnia bouts between the hour(s) I'm getting up to pee, - getting up 5x night to pee, - hips hurt, - hands, wrists, fingers swelling and hurting, - tired, - feet hurt presumably from the extra 40 lbs I'm carrying, - hot as hell all the time with another heat wave coming to SoCal (supposed to be 86+ this week!) with no A/C at home...
I'm sure I'm forgetting things...
Anyone want to add to my litany of complaints?
I'm excited for baby to finally be here soon, but dear god, how am I supposed to care for a newborn when I'm this tired and achy already ya know? My hands and wrists are so swollen and painful I can't even open things... I need them functional to care for and carry the baby!
35w+5 today and I'm having a rare feeling good day. But I got an amazing night of sleep - thank you bladder! thank you husband for letting me sleep in! - and I've been wearing my running compression socks the last few days and they are doing wonders for my cankles.
But the last 3-4 weeks and what's to come... ugh. I just want to crawl into bed with my Kindle and wait it out.

I'm 36 weeks 4 days and I've got many of the items on your list. I've also got - a pinched nerve pain under my butt - very painful bruised feeling at the base of my ribcage where the baby is always kicking my organs (it's not visibly bruised from the outside, but I really do think it is bruised on the inside) - the only position where I'm reliably comfortable is lying flat on my back, which of course I'm not supposed to do.
My midwife suggested shifting as much of my fluid intake to the morning as possible to reduce night time peeing. It's a struggle to drink that much in the morning, but I've reduced my typical number of night time pees from 4 to 2. A year ago, I would not have been able to imagine being excited about that.
I'm so ready for this baby to be born. Yes, our house is a construction zone (the nursery is empty and all 6 surfaces--walls, ceiling, floor--need to be redone before it can be moved into). Yes, I'm terrified of the whole newborn care thing. But damn... All that sounds so much better than continuing to be pregnant (and presumably getting more and more uncomfortable every day).
I'm 36 weeks today and I've got the sore ribs too. My hands and feet are also swollen, I have terrible acid reflux, I'm wearing pads because I pee myself a little every time I cough or sneeze, and my back hurts if I sit or lay in one position for too long. I'm also sick with the worst cough/cold/sore throat I have ever had. I couldn't breathe through my nose at all yesterday, so (warning: tmi) during a coughing fit, I threw up all over myself and peed myself :/
I am so so SO thankful to be pregnant, but late pregnancy is not very glamorous.
I'm seriously convinced this baby is coming Wednesday, Thursday or Friday because of the heat wave. I really have been enjoying this cooler weather and am planning on hiding inside later this week.
I can't sleep either! I have also developed a 'nap time' where I pass out for 5-15 minutes in the afternoon because I'm not sleeping well at night.
I keep having contractions and they weren't doing much, but I FINALLY lost (some of?) my mucous plug last night so maybe they actually are doing something! I thought we were going to have to leave the theater yesterday when we saw Fury because they were getting pretty bad, but then they died down.
I feel huge and am so ready for this kid to come!
I am enjoying the lazy mornings though and not waking up to a crying baby. That's my silver lining?
35w. And yes to everything you listed. I'd add horrific heartburn. I'm hoping these last 4-5 weeks go so quickly.
Anyone else getting some random bouts of nausea as well?
I knew there was one more thing I wanted to complain about! I was having quite a bit of nausea 1-2 weeks ago, mostly at night, mostly right after going to bed. Haven't had any in the last 5 days though... Fingers crossed that I'm done with nausea for the rest of the pregnancy.

35 weeks 2 days here Yes to ALL of these!! *The random discharge coming out of me is ridiculous... I have to wear a pad or my underwear is soaked and it is nasty! *The random boob leakage is on my nerves! *Crazy heartburn even if I ate NOTHING! *Like a fellow poster..I know I am brusied from the inside! *lightening crotch *random contractions that go just long enough to NOT call the doctor...
Yes, 37w 2d. I have been alternating sleeping like crap, and then one night I'll sleep so heavily that I don't even wake up to pee and in the morning I'm in pain.
I think I might have had my first contraction this morning. But just one. Does that even happen? It was all in my back which I think means I'm screwed again with back labor.

I can't get comfortable. Seems like every ten min I need to change positions to get relief. And I got out of breath walking around the freaking block with the dog.

Omg that hurts so damn bad! I haven't gone a full night yet but if I go longer than 4 hours without peeing...I'm run waddling to the toilet.
I feel like a giant whale when my.DH has to help me get into bed or get out of bed.
I feel like the baby is going to come.out the top.
The only position I am comfortable in is on my left side in the bath tub. A semi- distant second, laying on my left side, with a snoogle and another pillow between my legs.
My feet hurt, particularly the arches.
My hands hurt in the morning.
I have been having light contractions but no labor progress for 3 days.
It hurts to sit up. Walking around sucks.
I spent 3.5 years trying to get PG and I always feel guilty when I'm over it like this.
I am peeing every 2 hours at night. Sleeping for crap. Wake up hungry.

It's such a relief to know I'm not the only one!! Thanks everyone! I wish I were one of those smiling, walking on air preggo ladies, but alas, I'm a complainer.
I'd also like to bitch about the fact that I've got a stressful job and I'm concerned that everyone is in denial that I'm going to be out....at some TBD point in the next 4 weeks. I feel like I should possibly just pull the trigger on a date and be done.

yes-- pull the trigger, SmileyFace! That's what I did on my stressful job situation... and am SO SO SO so so so glad I did. I'm on leave now and have no regrets.
