E isn't a newborn anymore but she can't get a flu shot until December. We are washing our hands a lot and the rest of the household will be vaccinated to protect her.
We just washed our hands a lot, didn't go out much (but that's normal newborn stuff). Calvin got a slight cold from Lincoln in like March but nothing else.
That is my biggest fear right now We're all getting the flu shot, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to enforce that any visitors have to have theirs if they want to see the baby. I'm that crazy mom who also enforces pertussis too. It's probably all a moot point because B will still be going to daycare and my H is going to take one week of vacation, and work from home for another, but they'll both still be tracking in germs. Lots of hand sanitizer and washing hands.

I normally don't get sick but this year I have. My whole family is or has battled a nasty cold that has lingered. I can see myself limiting visitors and mostly staying at home. I'm going through the house daily with my can of Lysol and trying to clean.
Carson got many colds last year. And the stomach virus at 4 months old. It was pretty much terrible. I tried to just keep them at home as much as possible and wash hands frequently.
I am worried about that too. I got the flu shot, and will get the tdap in a couple weeks when the ca health dept says I can. Dh also got the flu shot and the tdap. We will probably tell people who want to be near the baby to get both shots.
I am hoping she isn't coombs positive like J was. According to the pedi, that weakened his immune system. We were told no big crowds for 3 months.

I had Annabelle Feb 18 last year. The hospital had a rule of no kids under one could visit, and no kids with a fever.
I didn't take any more precautions than I would have any other time of year. I did ask my family to get the TDAP vaccine, but I never asked about the flu shot. I think most of them get it anyway?
She didn't get sick, she has been way healthier than Henry was.

After had a cold pretty much the first 4 months of his life, despite our best efforts. Unfortunately, I don't think there is much you can do except wash hands constantly, sanitize regularly, etc. sigh.
