DS (one year on Wednesday) went from acting normally to having a fever in a 10 minute span tonight. He was fussy with a low grade fever so I gave him Tylenol which made him gag and he immediately puked all over me (so sad I had to put him in the bath after that- but he had rolled over and it was all over his face/in his eyelashes). He puked up the Tylenol because I gave it to him lying down and he coughed and that triggered his gag reflex- MOTH right here.
Anyway he's gone to sleep but is sweating up a storm and the fever is rising- up to 101.5. Should I try to give him something for the fever, to make him more comfortable? Or just let him sleep? I'm just worried about the fever continuing to rise tonight.

I would not feel bad. DS hates Tylenol. He always throws it up immediately. I think it taste worse than Motrin
Advil. Once DS was 6+ months our first line of defense is always advil. He doesn't seem to mind the taste, I've been able to "dreamfeed" it to him in the past when necessary.
I've started only using Tylenol when he's particularly sick and I need to rotate meds (Motrin/Tylenol/Motrin etc) to keep a high fever down/similar.
